It was 6am. While waiting for Ian, I decided to take a ride on my MTB around the taman. While riding I went thru all the things that I was bringing. It all seems there but there is this nagging feeling at the back of my head telling me there is something amiss. Ian reached at 6:30am and after loading his bike onto my car and parking his <strong><span style="font-size:130%;">BRAND NEW HONDA CITY</span></strong> into my porch, we were off to Kah Lyn's place. He was our designated driver.<br /><br />At GKL's house we unloaded our bikes and loaded it into his Exora. <span style="color:#ff6600;"><strong>All 3 bikes fit standing with only the front wheel removed and could still sit 3 ppl with luggage comfortably.</strong></span> <span style="font-size:130%;color:#cc0000;"><strong>Amazing!</strong></span> Now we are on our way North - Ipoh!<br /><br /><span style="color:#6600cc;"><strong>Team RFC-MY</strong></span> was going to attend the <strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#000099;">2010 Ipoh Century Ride</span></strong> held by KRI (Kelab Roadrunner Ipoh). It was a <span style="font-size:130%;color:#000099;"><strong>160km ride</strong></span> which starts at 7am and you are supposed to <strong><span style="color:#33ccff;">complete it within 7.5hours.</span></strong> This round Team RFC-MY consists of Danny Chang, Yong Vun Hao, Helmi, Adam Ng, Aaron Yew, Khoo Chin Aik, Lay Jun An, Paul Lo, Ian Lim, Goh Kah Lyn, Patrick Yee, Lionel and myself.<br /><br />We met up with Patrick Yee's vehicle along the highway. Paul and Adam was with him. Our 1st stop was to the Tower Regency Hotel to register ourselves, take the goodie bag and listen to the briefing. Now as with tradition, <strong><span style="font-size:180%;color:#ffcc33;">no RFC outing is complete without a slight detour.</span></strong> And so as not to break tradition, we mistakenly took the outer route which was a straight through bypass to Kuala Kangsar. All we could do was look left at the exit we were supposed to exit and also at the large cement road divider standing in our way. <strong><span style="color:#33cc00;">It was about a 25km detour - one way.</span></strong> But we finally managed to reach the Tower Regency on time. <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506744771897438418" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyTt3y5zgItglWKzKFn1bJR4hlc0Xm2V_iH1KWcmSvRs6TMM-Ytz77M3X90yO66syIx8FZImPbz4l123owP-dj-aEGrEzo_R1SnLL8pL79pG_sqBqwIbh_wrfGmX6QAdTrCflrKPCmb9qa/s400/39153_420296720772_174843160772_5382812_2930292_n.jpg" border="0" /><strong><span style="color:#6600cc;">Adam and GKL</span></strong> was incharge of collecting the goodie bags and were quite <span style="font-size:180%;color:#6600cc;"><strong>'Kan Cheong'</strong></span> about the whole process. <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506744777824201538" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtadzrvW1Q1GO6nQDlKPtHSD73qfmPDkPYdHpW_NFJEOcDwULOxXwprmIYZA5lEyA3o2o5v-UNYbuctw-lNHUx8AfK3gzc21PfjFnHPZZSKeEebnXwVvydlFJL056WWGN9JZjo-7-tfFSz/s400/39153_420296730772_174843160772_5382814_8283163_n.jpg" border="0" />Those below 40 were in Category A while those *ahem* above 40 were in Category B. After collecting all our stuff, we were quite hungry especially Paul. So we decided to go makan 1st instead of waiting 10mins for the 12pm briefing. We headed to <span style="color:#cc9933;"><strong>Lou Wong for "Nga Choi Kai"... everybody wallop 2 portions.</strong></span> <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506744261967199682" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggK2IzacTUeNkC6NitNf4FYRFfzUNESYjil7Cay3Id1sOPVSlCeh3oLzGFi2tTefhyphenhyphenaVIJSSwyfWn6zA8idE3wODgdug02bapjot0twWYmPLNaIOM9Pg3ka0ynsrggKU-7grFOLNVNUShg/s400/39153_420296705772_174843160772_5382809_1313491_n.jpg" border="0" />After finish eating, we went to ta pau 'Choung' and the stall owner treated us to some <strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#cc6600;">roasted petai</span></strong> which was heavenly!! <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506744264927665042" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6dj-9xUaP594wVd6SowTenVi02VHbc9AfVGiwnEmbkt_kdNvIETdCF-PAiuFq-112PGw4AE270Zgevkh06BFN4Q3bF6CcFgMEqtGcGl0PYMvtzz6b_8gqhDvZHQZZYa1fQ8aE-0rxdUNq/s400/39153_420296710772_174843160772_5382810_1201729_n.jpg" border="0" />We then met up with Danny and Yong who had just arrived at a coffee shop at Gunung Rapat. There, Ian and GKL had chicken rice!! and I ate my 'choung' which was super!! (<span style="color:#cc9933;"><strong><em>looks like the 2 portions of nga choi kai was not enough</em></strong></span>) <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506744268864666594" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFsDf3n9788Aehc3sTTUSn3_v2S68LPc2mSueK_r4ZaI_2VLbxK8qm9B7KWEE-4PrrY0fokzWGAoLrY5IKiXi3JrwlWl8QBi-kOJuD0ltwYMVkFJISovj1_sm8l2JHDg0JRYg0MPJd_Pb1/s400/39153_420296715772_174843160772_5382811_617493_n.jpg" border="0" />It was almost 2:30pm and we decided to head back to the hotel to attend the briefing. It was quite a short briefing which we really didn't need to listen. But there was a short commosion from the RFCs where the emcee said there there will be <strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#cc0000;">DONUTs</span></strong> at the rest stop. You could hear Adam's voice immediately saying <strong><span style="font-size:180%;color:#ff6600;">"DONUT?"</span> </strong>followed by the rest.. <strong><span style="font-size:180%;color:#000099;">"NICE DONUT ARR?" We then proceeded to Giant to buy our provisions, breakfast and drinks for tomorrow's ride. We checked to our accomodations 'BUKIT KINDING RESORT' and it was quite a nice place... <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506744782823123218" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiz76wsIKx5L9WU-xzUZRXZGidJqKI6rTBZiFVEbepZfpBstfrGRJ5araUlEqS4kciIZX0TIO-6bBNmtTgLm1TfYQQV6LqdJFh6iTel7XrdWPA0takYLou2ekPjk7ZDaE5ibzQgAjwbtgeW/s400/39153_420296735772_174843160772_5382815_5983514_n.jpg" border="0" />not too shabby except for the dead lizard in the room... Helmi was complaining <span style="font-size:130%;color:#009900;"><strong>"DAMN THEY HAVE A 9HOLE GOLF COURSE HERE!!"</strong></span> . After the tour around, while were offloading our bikes, Adam was trying to hit a golf ball with Helmi's left hand club but instead made a huge hole on the ground... It is one of the most widely cultivated tree fruits, and the most widely known of the many members of genus Malus that are used by humans.</span><br /><span style="font-size:+0;"></span><br /><br /><span style="font-size:+0;">Now let me tell you about another <span style="color:#33ff33;"><strong>Apple</strong></span> that I know of, <strong><span style="color:#33ff33;">Apple Choong</span></strong>. This <strong><span style="color:#33ff33;">Apple</span></strong> is one tough apple! She scaled <strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#cc0000;">Genting Highlands, Fraser's Hill, Ulu Yam-Genting Sempah, The full length of Hulu Langgat aka Mordor and cycled down to Singapore TWICE!!</span></strong> And more often than not, cycled ahead of me. She is our Team RFC's beloved Apple and she is going away.. far far away.. down under far away to be exact..</span><br /><span style="font-size:+0;"><span style="font-size:+0;"><br /><strong><span style="color:#33ff33;">Apple's</span></strong> farewell party was today. It was to be held at the Top Hat Restaurant@Jalan Stonor. The organizing committee for this party were her colleagues from OCBC Marketing. Team RFC were invited among her other close friends and ex-collagues. We were supposed to be there at 6:30pm. Since it was a Friday, it would not be such a rush. Unfortunately I had to solve some problems with the Collections Department and by the time we were finished it was 6pm already. I followed GKL's car there and thank God, Apple had not arrived yet. </span></span><br /><span style="font-size:+0;"><span style="font-size:+0;"></span></span><br /><br /><span style="font-size:+0;"><span style="font-size:+0;">There was a mission tonight. <strong>1<span style="color:#ffcc33;">. was to surprise apple (duh!)</span></strong> <strong>2. <span style="color:#00cccc;">to get her to cry</span> 3. to <span style="color:#cc33cc;">get her to confess her feelings.</span></strong><span style="color:#cc33cc;"> </span>Finally she arrived at around 7 something. The lights were dimmed and as she walked into the room, everyone shouted <span style="font-size:180%;color:#ff0000;"><strong>SURPRISED!!</strong></span> And guess what she said... <strong><span style="color:#33ff33;">"I already know de.."</span></strong> LOL!!</span></span><br /><span style="font-size:+0;"><span style="font-size:+0;"></span></span><br /><br /><span style="font-size:+0;"><span style="font-size:+0;">The night was<strong><span style="color:#3333ff;"> crazy!!</span></strong> As everyone was made to go up and talk about Apple.. what we know about her and stuff.. and as Peggy put it <span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="color:#999900;"><strong>"NO HOLDS BAR!!"</strong></span> <strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">"NO CENSORSHIP!!"</span></strong></span> Everything must come out!! And so it did... as GKL went up he said this.. <em><span style="color:#6633ff;">"I have reliable sources that one side... likes" "I also have reliable sources from the other side, that the other side also.. likes" "With all this indirectness... lets all be direct tonight!!"..</span></em> with that.. <strong><span style="color:#33ccff;">coconut</span></strong> (name shall not be disclosed for private reasons) was put on the spot light and asked the simple question.. <span style="color:#993399;"><strong>"DO YOU LIKE?"</strong></span> <span style="color:#330033;">As everyone held their breaths awaiting the answer</span>... then came a <span style="font-size:180%;color:#cc6600;"><strong>"YES!!"</strong></span> The whole room errupted!! <span style="color:#33ff33;"><strong>Apple</strong></span> turned <span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>bright red!!</strong></span> <span style="color:#33ccff;"><strong>coconut</strong></span> went straight to the buffet line and started stuffing himself with desserts LOL... <span style="color:#ff99ff;"><strong>now the spotlight was on Apple!!</strong></span> Cameras, video cameras, phone cameras, were all pointed at her... waiting her answer... which never really came but it was <span style="color:#cc0000;">definately not a NO!!</span> So it is a <span style="color:#ff0000;">Maybe or a YES..</span> either way, it was good news.</span></span><br /><span style="font-size:+0;"><span style="font-size:+0;"></span></span><br /><br /><span style="font-size:+0;"><span style="font-size:+0;">Now the entire night went out quite crazily with Peggy acting as the "Tai Kam Che" and toasting to the "BRIDE and GROOM" and other stuff... then it was the photo sessions. <strong><span style="color:#3366ff;">Finally at 10pm, Captain Danny reached - all the way from Singapore!!</span></strong> We had a little chat and a few more drinks then it was time to retire for the night... Tomorrow, Team RFC will be heading to Ipoh for the <strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#ff6600;">IPOH CENTURY RIDE 2010.</span></strong></span></span><br /><span style="font-size:+0;"><span style="font-size:+0;"></span></span><br /><br /><div align="center"><span style="font-size:+0;"><span style="font-size:+0;"><span style="font-size:180%;color:#666666;"><strong>APPLE.. It was being posted everywhere and I thought I might want to share this out as well :<br /><br /><em>I would like to share a tragic incident that happened at Standard Chartered KL Marathon today…<br />When i was running my final 2 km on the 10km… as i was running along the road in front of Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur, i saw a guy was sitting on the road side then soon enough he collapsed…<br /><br />this incident attracted my attention as a guy(a training doctor, named Irkhan) that was trying to help him was shouting for medic..<br />as i was a trained EFR, i ran over to see what is happening.. (it was around 1 hour into the race for 10km runners)<br /><br />i got to know that the guy (named Lim) has collapsed and was having seizure.. we tried to place him in recovery position… he was breathing very heavily and shortly and he was also biting his teeth very very hard… i was afraid that he will hurt himself (with either biting his own tongue or he closed up his airway).. so i tried to open up his jaw and tried to communicate wif him to have him relax and breath easily.. he then slowed down his breathing and taking deeper breath…<br /><br />another lady (Pei Kheng) came to help and constantly monitor on his pulse… and Dr. Visva (was another participant in the run) came over to help…<br /><br />Then suddenly, his pulse was gone… then we lied him flat and started on CPR procedures… we constantly check on his pulse to check whether his pulse has come back.. we did chest compression and also mouth-to-mouth breathing to Lim…<br />as we were doing the CPR procedures, we did not sight medic anywhere.. and we tried to shout as loud as possible for medic…<br /><br />After awhile into the CPR procedures, "lady A" said that she could feel his pulse but was very weak.. then we stopped the CPR procedures to see whether he regain consciousness or not…<br />After i stopped the chest compression on Lim, i started shouting for medic services again with the hope that a medic services is nearby and heard us.. but unfortunately not… we only sighted 3 DBKL Officers(with big motorcycles) just stood by the road side and just stare… the did not come over to help or to check out what happened… (it was around 10 minutes that Lim collapse and had seizure)…<br /><br />after a moment, Lim loose his pulse again.. we started CPR procedures again.. we still did not sight an ambulance or any EMS(Emergency Medical Services) around… after approximately 30 compression, Lim regained his pulse but was very very weak.. and yet.. there was still no ambulance or EMS sighted… and DBKL officers still stood there and did not came over to help… so I informed a passer by to run to the officers to tell them to call for an EMS soonest possible...<br /><br />after we performed CPR procedures on Lim for the the third time, finally a St. John ambulance came after around 15 - 20 minutes after Lim collapsed…<br /><br />we let the EMS officers to take over the CPR and First Aid… Dr. Visva asked whether do they have the AED(Automated External Defibrillator)… one of the person from the EMS said that they do not have it.. then I asked whether do they have a face mask with pump.. they also did not have it there… THEY PRACTICALLY HAVE NOTHING IN THE AMBULANCE!!!!!!!! -.-"<br /><br />EMS took him and speed their way to HKL…<br /><br />we were later informed that the Response time for EMS is 3 minutes but it took them almost 20 minutes to arrive… and later.. as I was reading through the Runners Guide that was provided in our running kit…<br />There is a statement (at page 15) that states that "Medical Assistance - Medical Aid is available every 4km and at the Finish Area. Due to runner's physical condition, Medical Officials are authorized to stop runners and remove their timing chip"…<br /><br />every 4KM MY ROYAL ASS.. I did not see any first aider, ambulance or any sort of medical officials along my 10km route… and if 4km was true.. it definitely will not take them SO LONG to arrive...<br /></em><br />-----------------------------------------------------------------------<br /><br /><strong>I got a call from Dr. Visva a moment ago.. he went to HKL to check out the condition of Lim and he informed me that Lim have passed away on his arrival to the hospital… T__T</strong><br /><br /><strong>Lim is only into his 20's and was running the 10KM distance…<br /></strong><br /><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">P/s: please share this note to as many people as possible.. we will hope to create awareness on the inefficiency of EMS, DBKL officers and organiser of standard chartered KL Marathon 2010...<br /><br />we also want to create an awareness that this kind of inefficiency have caused a life of a young man...<br />we will hope that the marathon organisers will take responsibility and make EMS a top priority in their planning</span></strong>LiquidUlarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00397473813451545026noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6176623818272821635.post-49673376646835756662010-06-26T19:00:00.001+08:002010-07-16T00:21:22.775+08:00MEX - LCCT - MEX : 110km<span style="color:#339999;"><strong>5am </strong></span>- <span style="font-size:180%;color:#ff0000;"><strong>RIIIIINGGGG</strong></span> - <span style="font-size:130%;color:#6600cc;"><strong>Snooze</strong></span> - <span style="color:#339999;"><strong>5:15am</strong></span> - <strong><span style="font-size:180%;color:#ff0000;">RIIIIINNNGGGG </span></strong>- <strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#6600cc;">Snooze</span></strong> - <strong><span style="color:#339999;">5:30am</span></strong> - <span style="font-size:180%;color:#ff0000;"><strong>RIIIINGGGGGG</strong></span> - damnit!! Have to wake up!! Took a quick shower, gobbled down the buns I bought the day before and was out the door. Meeting the guys at Ajimal Mamak 6:30am. Ride off time 6:45am. Today were doing a 110km ride from MEX to LCCT and back.<br /><br />RFC riders today : <strong><span style="color:#999999;">Adam</span>, <span style="color:#000000;">Yong</span>, <span style="color:#006600;">Jun An</span>, <span style="color:#ffcccc;">Helmi</span>, <span style="color:#33ccff;">Ari</span>, <span style="color:#cc0000;">Lionel</span>, <span style="color:#cc6600;">Freddy</span> and <span style="color:#333399;">Friend</span>, and <span style="color:#ff6600;">myself</span></strong>.<br /><br />As we entered MEX highway, <span style="color:#330099;"><strong>it started to rain</strong></span>. It was not heavy but just nice. After about 5mins, <strong>all our shoes were now soaking in water</strong>. The feeling was damn sloshy!! Drafting behind Adam and Helmi, Yong and I were being <span style="color:#3333ff;"><strong>sprayed by the water fountain</strong></span> spouting up from their back wheel. On the downhill part, <span style="color:#cc66cc;"><strong>I nearly hit into Adam</strong></span> cos when I jammed the brakes.. there was nothing.. not even a feel of slowing down.. and so I overtook him just in time and sprayed water back at him for a change.. We waited for Lionel and Ari to catch up. We took shelter at the toll booth as it was not open but was later <span style="color:#6600cc;"><strong>shooed away by one of the MEX seciruty personel</strong></span>. We then continued to ride on.<br /><br />The 2 MTB bikes - Freddy and Friend were basically leading the whole way with Helmi, Jun An and myself following closely. Adam and Yong waited for Ari and Lionel to give them directions. Not long as we were passing the F1 pit, Adam overtook and off they went. We finally came to a stop at the roundabout just before LCCT. We were in good time. <span style="color:#ffcc00;"><strong>Total riding time up to that point was 2hr15mins.</strong></span><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5494164484830678850" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdQoEIe69gEJqy1mcUcm6YgZOB_10d5tTAV7tODEZx8SjDhrtE6hKqAJtytAmKjTqYEi8IxzueNYp2PVakWAJQihzqxq1L7j3XJwRLTfCsGvHhmXAfmHf6o9SlhGQ958iLM0MpVVuvUUNn/s400/36476_407970565772_174843160772_5045947_3760849_n.jpg" border="0" />We then decided to rest at the Rest Stop just outside of TuneHotels-LCCT. Me and Jun An decided to <span style="color:#6600cc;"><strong>wash our bikes a bit as it as covered in dried sand</strong></span>. It was onwards to LCCT from there. As we passed by the main drop and pick up area, we attracted many curious looks from all the people there. Our breakfast was to be at this Asian Restaurant. At 1st when we parked our bikes just outside the shop, we were <span style="color:#ffcc00;"><strong>stopped by the LCCT security</strong></span> and after a bit of debating we were then allowed to park it there. As we ordered our food, Ari and Lionel finally arrived. Curiously, Yong was not with them. I asked Lionel and he said <span style="color:#33cc00;"><strong>Yong had a flat and was trying to mend the puncture</strong></span>.. <span style="font-size:130%;color:#ff0000;"><strong>SHIT!!</strong></span> Adam and I gobbled down our food and sped off to find Yong.<br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5494164507183477554" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuMZ_Cgn2XajbJrGLX97AmbZjyHKC-6A578AFvRwr6OGxaXTWfYUlDavOj0wt_a6M0yEUzXiVfUMwE2pJ_ZtoUjAByxT6LAm33brRsTf-Wg8S6yDcaUw7qbIhg4uH7O675gWI6Q0N3brM-/s400/36476_407970580772_174843160772_5045950_3544699_n.jpg" border="0" />After about 3kms, we found him. He had <strong><span style="color:#6666cc;">punctured both his spare tube as well</span></strong> and I lend him mine and also my trusty bike pump. After pumping up, suddenly Freddy and Friend appeared and then we decided to continue back. We stopped at a Petronas Station just opposite and refueled while Yong had his breakfast. I had another Sandwhich as well. Helmi, Jun An, Lionel and Ari continued on 1st and then only we followed.<br /><br />After quite a while, I was left behind already. The <span style="font-size:180%;color:#cc0000;"><strong>2 MTBs were mad</strong></span>. They were doing like 30++ all the way with Yong and Adam following closely. Finally a the B15 highway I managed to catch up with Lionel and overtook him. Then I <span style="color:#ffcc99;"><strong>came upon a sight I was not used to. Helmi!!</strong></span> He was struggling as he just had a cramp. We then later came upon another <strong><span style="color:#6666cc;">unfamiliar sight.. Yong.</span></strong> He was waiting for us as he was unsure of the road to take and so the 3 of us pushed on towards MEX highway which we then came upon Jun An - who had waited for me to pass me my arm warmer which I left in LCCT.<br /><br />And then <span style="color:#ff6600;"><strong>like a bat of out of hell, my energy came and I pushed all the way back to Ajimal</strong></span>. Adam was already changed and waiting in his van. The 2 MTBs had already gone home. After ordering our drinks <em><span style="color:#339999;">(the famous Ajimal 3 Layer Tea)</span></em>, Yong came followed by Jun An and then Helmi. After about an hour, finally Lionel and Ari came. Ari had taken a wrong road and had a puncture and was helped out by Lionel.<br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5494164495765955314" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEho8H7NZcv5umapsMRhCJkXRAUCIT2RWO5QnBMVqzXzAW_5THE-8T4qMRhHfqc6VKTpcmA8nRiF8NylG_-MsJFD3yoJWVOISRl2rCWpYib23Kr10co0jVlP-u6zD8UCTGdsCKWypRz8qHSu/s400/36476_407970570772_174843160772_5045948_2416204_n.jpg" border="0" />All in all it was a good ride.. The only difference this time was : Ian had just bought a new bike - <span style="color:#6600cc;"><strong>Full Carbon Frame Battaglin with Shimano Ultegra GroupSet just</strong></span> 2 days ago. It was time to put his bike to the test.<br /><br />It was decided that we were to have a mini race between me and him. The race would be split into 2 stages. <strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">Stage 1 : MEX highway.</span></strong> <span style="color:#000099;"><strong>Stage 2 : Kesas Highway.</strong><br /></span><br />At 8:15pm we were there waiting at Ajimal Mamak. Yong and Kah Lyn couldn't make it for Stage 1 and Paul was late. We started riding about 8:35pm. As we moved out from Sri Petaling towards Carrefour junction and then making our way to the MEX highway turnoff.. Ian sped up the climb.. I followed closely but not pushing so much.. As we reached the top, Ian cursed - "<em><span style="color:#ffcc00;">Shit no more gear to change</span></em>".. I just laughed.. <em><span style="color:#00cccc;">"I told you size 25 gear damn shiok to climb!!"</span></em> and I rolled off on my size 28 gear..<br /><br />Not long after that, Adam and Paul took the lead and Ian overtook me. There was also a MTB cyclist who was also damn fast who overtook me as well. I maintained a normal pace and just at the climb towards the rest stop area, once again Ian was struggling to climb it and I overtook him.. soon I was chasing after Adam. Paul was no where to be seen already. After the U-Turn, I pumped a PowerGel and started to chase after Adam.<br /><br />Everytime I got close to him on a climb, just as I was about to reach him, it was downhill for him already. By the time I reached the peak and started my descent, he was already damn far away... this continued on till we reached the Sri Petaling LRT where Yong and Kah Lyn were already waiting there.<br /><br /><strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#ff0000;">Stage 1 Winner - Terence "LiquidUlar" Lim<br /></span></strong><br />Ian came in quite a bit late as he took a detour down to the Carrefour junction. Now it was on to Stage 2. After pushing myself on the MEX, I was damn tired already. On the Kesas I was drafting behind all the rest as usual. The pelaton leader changed every 1 minute or so. When it was <span style="color:#3333ff;"><strong>Paul's turn to give up the lead</strong></span>, he tried to slot in the middle of the pelaton <span style="color:#993399;">which <strong>nearly caused an accident</strong></span> as the rest had to brake all of a sudden.<br /><br />It was then that Adam took the lead again and everyone sped off... I followed them and overtook Ian also.. I was just behind the pelaton at each turn. After U-turning at the Summit junction, I could see Ian on the opposite side of the road just about to climb. I concentrated on catching up with the pelaton but as the minutes passed by, my legs started to feel stiff and <span style="color:#33cc00;"><strong>on the verge of cramping</strong></span>... FUCK!!<br /><br />I continued cycling at a more relaxed and steady pace to keep the muscle from being too tensed or too relaxed and I knew that either one would cost me to cramp up. As I <strong><span style="color:#cc0000;">surveyed the area for a place to fall down</span></strong>, there was none except for the tunnels area and <span style="font-size:130%;color:#ff9900;"><strong>God knows I will not be caught dead resting there!!<br /></strong></span><br />Finally Ian caught up with me and I drafted behind him all the way. He was also tired and cramping. Finally the last 100m to the finish point, I wanted to try and push myself to overtake him but <strong><span style="font-size:180%;color:#ff0000;">my body told me NO!!</span></strong> And so..<br /><br /><strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#3333ff;">Stage 2 Winner - Ian "Smoke Em" Lim</span></strong><br /><br />We then headed back to Ajimal for Yum Cha and catch the World Cup as well.LiquidUlarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00397473813451545026noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6176623818272821635.post-25134325433573541212010-06-20T21:43:00.001+08:002010-07-16T00:01:18.831+08:00White Water Rafting - KKB<div align="left">White water rafting - ahh, I still remember my 1st time almost 4 years ago like it was yesterday.. this time around I was going with the RFCs.. A nice break from cycling although I have been out for about a month to rest my knee..<br /><br />Finally the morning came.. the alarm went off at 5am.. I was so tempted to just continue sleeping and cursed that I went out late the night before (dota at CC).. but somehow managed to pry myself from bed and got ready. Mei San picked me up at 6am and we headed to Kah Lyn's place as we were going in his MPV. After a short de-tour to pick up his fren, we headed to the meeting area - Sg Buloh Overhead Restaurant.. When we got there, the rest had already reached - Adam & Joanne, Yong + Wife and Kid, Leeza & Andrew.. we then made our way to the next meeting point - Rawang Toll where Helmi awaited us.. He was wearing a mesh t-shirt and the 1st thing Kah Lyn said was.. "Can see his nipple" .. LOL!!<br /><br />We departed to KKB and halfway, <strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">Helmi sped off like a Bat out of Hell..</span></strong> whithin minutes, he was nowhere to be seen. Upon reaching KKB town we went to a nearby Chinese Coffee Shop for breakfast. The food was not so good but served its purpose.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgn_PTqmJfSaRjUYSHDtO5WmVGLsu1D6cEUxOCIoSgzc-yiWW2D2sX_-fjYB6xIJ2t9C-8rWEwKzxxs_m4CUT37yEIGzZjnpAA_kdUPkCtLiCrGLQKtXyNLzrpFl5WWDnU-kjhdAWC6c5CH/s1600/Shortlist.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5490813093012087842" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgn_PTqmJfSaRjUYSHDtO5WmVGLsu1D6cEUxOCIoSgzc-yiWW2D2sX_-fjYB6xIJ2t9C-8rWEwKzxxs_m4CUT37yEIGzZjnpAA_kdUPkCtLiCrGLQKtXyNLzrpFl5WWDnU-kjhdAWC6c5CH/s400/Shortlist.jpg" border="0" /></a> We were supposed to meet the guide from Khersonese at 9am and he was late.. on top of that we had to wait for another group as well whom all of them must have bowel problems cos they were<span style="color:#ff6600;"><strong> in and out of the toilet like a million times!!</strong></span> <strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#cc0000;">Adam and Helmi were on the verge of blowing their top</span></strong> already but thankfully we were on our way before that happened.<br /><br />All except the drivers were dropped of at the waiting area - the drivers had to park their cars at the Khersonese base camp and would be driven back to the waiting area by the guides. It was a long 20 minutes wait. There was quite a big crowd at the waiting area. Half were going with another guide while the other half was with us. While waiting there I noticed one of the rafts was crawling with <span style="font-size:180%;color:#ff0000;"><strong>KERENGGA!!</strong></span> cos it was laid down by a tree infested with it.. Made my skin crawl!! Finally the drivers came back and the safety briefing went underway.. the whole time thru out the briefing, the <em><span style="color:#009900;">honey bees were pestering me non stop</span></em>.. they kept landing onto my arm and leg and I was terrified cos if they stung then thats it for this trip.. so I had to keep moving here and there and waving my arms and pedal like a mad man.. after about 10mins - <span style="font-size:180%;color:#000099;"><strong>IT WAS RAFTING TIME!!<br /></strong></span><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkATA-HbjvsQHPlSh-NERVsFgsLw4eb-SRBuTgk9IIVktu4XPkCtZBeHscOrswULcx60wBAzuC5NlUaViemU0CqaOfATb8tpfWyRFnZLT20hZST7n5J0ZyPGM6JioMWKq-IBs3bRnB1OSJ/s1600/DSC00538.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5490813079587653314" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkATA-HbjvsQHPlSh-NERVsFgsLw4eb-SRBuTgk9IIVktu4XPkCtZBeHscOrswULcx60wBAzuC5NlUaViemU0CqaOfATb8tpfWyRFnZLT20hZST7n5J0ZyPGM6JioMWKq-IBs3bRnB1OSJ/s400/DSC00538.JPG" border="0" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjquD6G31jF0Jj-Xq9wHzgkK9RJzPb3vQmKHWqiY3-vqmuZ7mKtEbddsiNONnDDGj7ZffBHa-WnAqPzj1dXp1SKF_N6FOwRcA0v9saz4dQEn-5wBwQyrLmB_i8ElHri8v5PdIwV_ZEK9DIx/s1600/DSC00542.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5490810962669841010" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjquD6G31jF0Jj-Xq9wHzgkK9RJzPb3vQmKHWqiY3-vqmuZ7mKtEbddsiNONnDDGj7ZffBHa-WnAqPzj1dXp1SKF_N6FOwRcA0v9saz4dQEn-5wBwQyrLmB_i8ElHri8v5PdIwV_ZEK9DIx/s400/DSC00542.JPG" border="0" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMB_lZlI7iABnk7nOoiHDq5bSprDfFb_f6Y8x0GEuGUcJQ26uoogMB5jIBh8Tc9VFa9m1nFy0bNN9kmRh4H3gsLT2qZhFEhnAXViCLje9lcnDTRIpfcFqi5EEjbE5wrsHTMn-Kt0kE1GL0/s1600/DSC00548.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5490810956972015170" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMB_lZlI7iABnk7nOoiHDq5bSprDfFb_f6Y8x0GEuGUcJQ26uoogMB5jIBh8Tc9VFa9m1nFy0bNN9kmRh4H3gsLT2qZhFEhnAXViCLje9lcnDTRIpfcFqi5EEjbE5wrsHTMn-Kt0kE1GL0/s400/DSC00548.JPG" border="0" /></a> The group was split into 2 - <span style="color:#ff6600;"><strong>Raft 1 : Yong + wife & kid, Adam & Joanne and myself</strong></span>. <span style="color:#009900;"><strong>Raft 2 : Kah Lyn, Helmi, Andrew, Mei San, Leeza and Wendy</strong></span>. In out raft, Joanne was sitting in the front, Adam and myself in the middle, Yong and wife and the back and his son was in the middle of the raft. And then we were on our way. The water level was high today which was a good thing. The 1st section was a nice pedal and then we came to our 1st rapid. We had to wait for others to go 1st and Yong's son had to be carried down river thru the river bank cos it was a bit too dangerous for him.. while waiting Adam and Yong decided to go into the river for a dip.. Not sure if Adam released anything in the river or <span style="color:#6600cc;"><strong>if Yong felt the water was warm all of a sudden..</strong></span> LOL.. once the guide came back we were off to tackle the rapids..<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi31VJh0KzbrjnfgAXYm5W-pc5R3Eq54IabT7cqJDDp0UwzD3Pa52WhnAmJ1lE7BkAPZ8LYCO4Top62bGNkC8IhOUcdE4b-CvlKP9rQYojPH5pftvVmQlS2n9lYQZrxoSbhtKVBXLOX1USu/s1600/DSC00583.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5490810945139424802" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 257px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi31VJh0KzbrjnfgAXYm5W-pc5R3Eq54IabT7cqJDDp0UwzD3Pa52WhnAmJ1lE7BkAPZ8LYCO4Top62bGNkC8IhOUcdE4b-CvlKP9rQYojPH5pftvVmQlS2n9lYQZrxoSbhtKVBXLOX1USu/s400/DSC00583.JPG" border="0" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdZuvdhEOCCve0xmPi2OSL7KhFK3fGQcr_83U-4od1FrmAOFxuNy-s0kUbqdaVaj5p1Z6VOc83SSrBbwnmvcDnvfs4vH7NVTOR4iAWptI2j_CC8DLeWf9rFCFHOlQY8A5e2Nwv-FQueeAo/s1600/DSC00585.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5490807825153863570" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 271px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdZuvdhEOCCve0xmPi2OSL7KhFK3fGQcr_83U-4od1FrmAOFxuNy-s0kUbqdaVaj5p1Z6VOc83SSrBbwnmvcDnvfs4vH7NVTOR4iAWptI2j_CC8DLeWf9rFCFHOlQY8A5e2Nwv-FQueeAo/s400/DSC00585.JPG" border="0" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBOdgCb60aXB5Xg-WF7ja8nkBRbXaH2mfFCvLWHoKdiDdm_3S813WwJdjQBa8lVZUfx8b9GviOwt0uCfVNlAU96w6nksYDKTVbzK1kMw0YRBBwPPrJLl8n9211es6jPBB1WaQvRM91KFn0/s1600/Shortlist-3.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5490807814831407858" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBOdgCb60aXB5Xg-WF7ja8nkBRbXaH2mfFCvLWHoKdiDdm_3S813WwJdjQBa8lVZUfx8b9GviOwt0uCfVNlAU96w6nksYDKTVbzK1kMw0YRBBwPPrJLl8n9211es6jPBB1WaQvRM91KFn0/s400/Shortlist-3.jpg" border="0" /></a> The rapids were way better than the last time I was here. I had a bad feeling already. The guard let us in and as we cycled towards the starting area, suddenly there were riders coming out of the trail on the left and went into another trail on the right and they looked tired... we started to <span style="font-size:130%;color:#00cccc;"><strong>PANIC</strong></span> even more now and cycled faster to the starting point.</span></span></div><br /><div align="left"><span style="color:#000099;"><span style="color:#000000;">Upon reaching, we were <span style="color:#999900;">greeted by curious looking marshalls</span>. It was then that we came up to the 1st other racers. Allan, Jerry and Adam were far ahead already. Pushing and riding along the trail, finally I came to a clearing and onto a tar road again. AWESOME!! just what I needed for the house.</span></span></div><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid2GTusfkdXpaNgKybrBy52PO6bPW9DTlqVJn3QF8ghh9AIabJPGzAU1wkiN0nWYBPm-_wKdSOVz8yn5PAWVs98ok94azEZy9uXlgq3jShYW5jIB87jIqcvKoieO6mEDTrS8Y4z1pRfY-h/s1600/29710_393117712123_723272123_4195894_3088351_n.jpg"><span style="color:#000099;"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5480771196187697026" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid2GTusfkdXpaNgKybrBy52PO6bPW9DTlqVJn3QF8ghh9AIabJPGzAU1wkiN0nWYBPm-_wKdSOVz8yn5PAWVs98ok94azEZy9uXlgq3jShYW5jIB87jIqcvKoieO6mEDTrS8Y4z1pRfY-h/s320/29710_393117712123_723272123_4195894_3088351_n.jpg" border="0" /></span></a><span style="font-size:78%;"><span style="color:#000099;">Still in One Piece </span><br /><br /><br /></span><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhq5v6c2a1hjydJkUFlLm2OH0d37TH1J1Pg55f4mQ07Oz4KaGRdcXVQghR13GJcccKEmPT4ETVrh7pfgT-IGxe3knm5n7W3-BcGPX2F4Pm4rSUmq-fVPYCB0lMovTdlN54K7WVj0Wrl09XO/s1600/29710_393117782123_723272123_4195896_8345543_n.jpg"><span style="color:#000099;"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5480771178123857330" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhq5v6c2a1hjydJkUFlLm2OH0d37TH1J1Pg55f4mQ07Oz4KaGRdcXVQghR13GJcccKEmPT4ETVrh7pfgT-IGxe3knm5n7W3-BcGPX2F4Pm4rSUmq-fVPYCB0lMovTdlN54K7WVj0Wrl09XO/s320/29710_393117782123_723272123_4195896_8345543_n.jpg" border="0" /></span></a><span style="color:#000099;"> <span style="font-size:78%;">Me, My Bike, My Hydration Bag and My Lucky Draw Prize</span><br /><br /></span><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3xKO8VoSscc66QzsfygFCjww3rBIdrX4iyUeav9SYLYEhgtDIvrZA6hWNrGpeHccIofnx23HAW6NFyyTkjhk4ONPfGuVNWGvCyzo7wMjKaSxzoiNRt1HnDtydj0s1jr_2MoX9Hhjp0j_u/s1600/29710_393117842123_723272123_4195897_8173447_n.jpg"><span style="color:#000099;"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5480771174836017058" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3xKO8VoSscc66QzsfygFCjww3rBIdrX4iyUeav9SYLYEhgtDIvrZA6hWNrGpeHccIofnx23HAW6NFyyTkjhk4ONPfGuVNWGvCyzo7wMjKaSxzoiNRt1HnDtydj0s1jr_2MoX9Hhjp0j_u/s320/29710_393117842123_723272123_4195897_8173447_n.jpg" border="0" /></span></a><span style="color:#000099;"> <span style="font-size:78%;">Cloud 9 aka Vasakthi Ride PowerBar</span><br /></span><br /><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjimcPtkHI1XcY9KcCJbj-ry1gGu3DN6q4pDBFYs15kPUlwk-EPvK9FDGNRkGIM7-dR2RckV9wQa-MO8tfYsKCzvdMnwPINVKSSbkHgD5n9frWTxfFr5l6jRpWZ03sssOFmmXyLYT0j1tYr/s1600/29710_393117927123_723272123_4195898_3683801_n.jpg"><span style="color:#000099;"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5480771164491406002" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjimcPtkHI1XcY9KcCJbj-ry1gGu3DN6q4pDBFYs15kPUlwk-EPvK9FDGNRkGIM7-dR2RckV9wQa-MO8tfYsKCzvdMnwPINVKSSbkHgD5n9frWTxfFr5l6jRpWZ03sssOFmmXyLYT0j1tYr/s320/29710_393117927123_723272123_4195898_3683801_n.jpg" border="0" /></span></a><span style="color:#000099;"> <span style="font-size:78%;">Packing up and time to head home</span> </span></div><div align="center"><span style="color:#000099;"></span></div><br /><div align="left">After resting somemore, it was time to pack up and head on home. I was there at 8++ and I thought I was late. <strong><span style="color:#ffcc33;">Reached there and none of the gang were in sight</span></strong>... Called Kok and he said coming in 10mins... Called Teoh - no answer... Called Siew Mun - he just got home and will come around 10 something. And so I was stuck there with not many people that I know. Luckily May Teh and Sammie were there so I joined their table and later the whole gang came. As usual by the end of the night, our table is filled with empty beer cans. Oh and I was told then that I was to be part of the "Heng Tai" tomorrow morning. Be at the house at 8am. <strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">OMG!! Means I needed to leave Puchong by 7:30am latest... </span></strong><br /><br />Saturday morning, woke up at 7am and was out the door by 7:30am. <span style="color:#cc9933;"><strong>Kok who was supposed to give me a wake up call only called me at 7:30am.. KNS!!</strong></span> Anyway reached Ah Keong's house at 8am sharp and ate breakfast. 1 Nasi Lemak and 1 Wan Tan Mee... awesome!! Now onwards to the bride's house. Ah Meng drove Ah Keong's City there. His very cute son came along. The bride's house was in Kepong - Aman Puri. We arrived there in 30mins. Now the games began. There was the standard 4 stuff to consume representing : Sweetness, Sourness, Bitterness and Spicyness. The 1st one was a thick looking drink and after gulping it down we found out it was some <span style="font-size:130%;color:#cc0000;"><strong>soft drink+honey+kaya+butter</strong></span> - I nearly puked!! The 2nd one was easy, it was fresh cut lime. The 3rd one was <span style="font-size:130%;color:#009900;"><strong>young raw bitter gourd</strong></span> and OMG it was bitter after the 1st bite so we didn't play by the rules and OPPSS!! Accidentally dropped the fruit/veggie/whatever you call it.. and the last was WASABI!! Ah Foo made easy job of it.<br /><br />Finally the grill was open and all the wedding ceremonial stuff at the bride's house began. After everything was done, it was back to Setapak again. Was feeling damn sleepy already at the time. After lunch, went back to sleep a while and then went to see my wifey and son at Subang.<br /><br />The wedding dinner was not bad... our table was full of crazy ass drinkers and so was the 2 tables next to us. <span style="font-size:130%;color:#3333ff;"><strong>Booze was all around!!</strong></span> Didn't get to taste the last 3 dishes cos had to follow Ah Keong around to "Keng Chau" at all the tables... was a bit tipsy after that and second round was OPERA at Sunway Pyramid!!<br /><br />Wasn't feeling too good when we reached there and I wanted to go home but Teoh didn't let me and so no choice!! It was a nice night out... <span style="color:#993399;"><strong>babes a plenty everywhere... drunk girls here and there </strong></span>and then at 2:30am there was a fight and the lights were on... time to go home!!<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOlxAP5gqCrHWhwhQo7hRebAPycSBQPzpJgmZjdN27oNDEEYmS5bIWdV2_eX9JtSFWJUJdQaO_midE1aCqWcyRefU684OvkE0Q_9QKxs2jhgTH3Agv9Zfp0rsa_47xkTJ4L1lA5a9w7rc0/s1600/untitled.bmp"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5480768017073451778" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 173px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOlxAP5gqCrHWhwhQo7hRebAPycSBQPzpJgmZjdN27oNDEEYmS5bIWdV2_eX9JtSFWJUJdQaO_midE1aCqWcyRefU684OvkE0Q_9QKxs2jhgTH3Agv9Zfp0rsa_47xkTJ4L1lA5a9w7rc0/s320/untitled.bmp" border="0" /></a><br /><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjm9PtvWTmVX_D_QgzR25H3KEJyeckJa9JqVl943EMIbzM-FhFyq5bhhF-20lSTb6sreFF9C92fUNF6VmreiKP7hxjObqxTXiV5OVH_WfHXNFL4kT59ThHJgflmusV6GMwebtZh3xnUm8yi/s1600/30047_400363284010_745519010_4238049_5525269_n.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5480767507360397330" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 162px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjm9PtvWTmVX_D_QgzR25H3KEJyeckJa9JqVl943EMIbzM-FhFyq5bhhF-20lSTb6sreFF9C92fUNF6VmreiKP7hxjObqxTXiV5OVH_WfHXNFL4kT59ThHJgflmusV6GMwebtZh3xnUm8yi/s320/30047_400363284010_745519010_4238049_5525269_n.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5480767504873997426" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 200px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4D5RQ4LmOEkmXI_BnqCH0KsCclaBF97oilRKygn5vmM2DDLuMfBBpvNeJIAijlqC_iTAQm1oTO75yF7aY-oX9PaLiKJXza6ni6eg2_HptiK-Tjr7eHslDts68tkechM9p0mX8ErSTeYc8/s320/30047_400363274010_745519010_4238047_4519436_n.jpg" border="0" /></div><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5480767493440040370" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 194px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikENHnUqIViKyzP3NOqMg7SUX2i-6DU_G-GFNps-6APyfqm3YngZWWIa14GwnJDEG5oBm0ilnHpbhT-foPH0XXymQPOIGbh9ft_3l7xsrUUlsdfhyEQ7KzmTYCif9y6Ptew8R4jzccRuS6/s320/30047_400362844010_745519010_4238043_5095903_n.jpg" border="0" /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQr9IoBs8BJeQNBtDxShmZwlU8ZMX1aRxemFGoWbS-l2Ky_3WbR1TscbjZ1IY6TF62mX6d6yW1FIKUi8NWy9an3lUFojRgBRseviTi2-H8oGyjJmA0bks0_QOaMi4g39JhOFLm3Ifusaaj/s1600/30047_400362824010_745519010_4238042_2594692_n.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5480767486657352322" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 222px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQr9IoBs8BJeQNBtDxShmZwlU8ZMX1aRxemFGoWbS-l2Ky_3WbR1TscbjZ1IY6TF62mX6d6yW1FIKUi8NWy9an3lUFojRgBRseviTi2-H8oGyjJmA0bks0_QOaMi4g39JhOFLm3Ifusaaj/s320/30047_400362824010_745519010_4238042_2594692_n.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div><div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAP7j4TD3xDke2lj_eLD8Sl8-cEoyIRgqvgrP7wrDoNSCvi0V2-ZSj-Spt932UIgGYipbFbBt7vcMxeQBQLTFT6EyjatKoniZf8dKliRRag9jUeqA3KDURShvOMjW9aGovY3qfylWQfmqV/s1600/30047_400362804010_745519010_4238041_8057705_n.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5480767479075948530" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 192px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAP7j4TD3xDke2lj_eLD8Sl8-cEoyIRgqvgrP7wrDoNSCvi0V2-ZSj-Spt932UIgGYipbFbBt7vcMxeQBQLTFT6EyjatKoniZf8dKliRRag9jUeqA3KDURShvOMjW9aGovY3qfylWQfmqV/s320/30047_400362804010_745519010_4238041_8057705_n.jpg" border="0" /></a></div></div></div></div>LiquidUlarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00397473813451545026noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6176623818272821635.post-26047908735169339112010-06-01T21:23:00.006+08:002010-06-09T23:22:12.600+08:00A Weary Month Of MayI know I have been neglecting my blog for the past 2 weeks or so. I don't know whats come over me. It just feels so <strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#cc9933;">weary</span></strong> and <strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#cc9933;">tiring</span></strong> these last 2 weeks. There's actually so many things to write about but just couldn't bring the strength to do it. And now I don't even know where to begin. Oh Hell, I'll just write what comes 1st to mind.<br /><br /><strong><span style="font-size:180%;color:#ff0000;">Work sucks</span></strong> as always. Maybe being posted in Cyberjaya Office this month just made it worst. On top of my team's leng lui and sifu Cheu Bee Teng leaving in end June, my team lead pops me on the office messenger saying that he is leaving as well. He IJP (Internal Job Posting) to the Delivery Department in charge of the SIBS1 project. Leaving mid July. WTF!! <span style="color:#999900;"><strong>2 Visa Sifu leaving just before the big Visa October Compliance</strong></span>. <span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>I am totally fucked!!</strong></span> Besides this, a few enhancement tanks and there seems to be no solution for it. <span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>Fucked again!!</strong></span> Sigh!! Endless night supports, early morning support... sure the money's good but then sometimes it just ain't worth it. Maybe its time to follow in the footsteps of my seniors and bail!! Oh yeah 1 more thing, have a new woman team lead.. guess what? yeah you got it<span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>... AGAIN!!</strong></span><br /><br />On to lighter news, my <em><span style="color:#3333ff;">LCL (Lateral Collateral Ligament)</span></em> - which is the tendon/ligament on the outer knee is feeling much better now with the Phiten products. Did some light riding and then on the 23rd morning I joined the RFC for a ride from Sri Petaling to Bandar Puteri Klang. More like joined halfway. I woke up late cos my <span style="font-size:130%;color:#993399;"><strong>BB hanged .. *&^^$#%#!@#!!</strong></span> So I cycled from my house to Summit in hopes of meeting them there as they passed but no luck. So I pushed on further till a petrol station and decided to call Yong. He picked up and said that they just reached Proton Showroom and was waiting for Lionel so I pedaled on and voila, it was just 100m in front and the guys were shocked to see me cos they thought I had ridden from Sri Petaling!! LOL!! and Lionel had not even reached yet... after Lionel came, we cycled on to Pulau Indah but turned back halfway to Pulau Indah cos Danny had to go off... on the way back, my LCL started acting up again and I slowed down to a 23-25 average speed. I turned off at the Summit turn off to collect my car at the in-laws and meet the rest later at Ajimal for breakfast and then to Tat Seng for poisoning!! Hahaha<br /><br />Thursday night 27th May, what month would be complete without <strong><span style="font-size:180%;color:#ffcc00;">snow beer</span></strong>... after work I picked up Teh to Snow beer. Chin was there and so was an unexpected guest - Lennon. We ate and drank and ate and drank and ate some more till 2am++ We had 2 big plates of <strong><em><span style="color:#cc6600;">Salted Meat, 1 Yin Yang Kai Lan and 1 Snow Mountain Flying Wu (Shuit San Fei Wu)</span></em></strong> hahaha. A very good night indeed. Took my mind off a lot of things.<br /><br />My house ELCB also started acting up. It kept tripping and then found the cause. The wall sockets in the masterbedroom... what a bummer... called the electrician who did the house wiring to come and check it out and he said that the <strong><span style="color:#33cc00;">Earth Wiring is damn high</span></strong>... solution was to either try out a temp fix (he removed the earth wire from the socket) or install another earth wire (which would require hacking) WTF!!!<br /><br />Oh last but not least, I have started downloading not just anime but movies as well from flmsdown.net. Not a bad site actually. I even signed up for hotfile.com for 1 year to download unlimited and at a faster speed. Cos RM150 a year - so it was like 15 DVDs.... downloaded more than that already so money well spent. Since I don't know when only can I go back to the Cinema... wouldn't want to be one of those inconsiderate parents who brings their wailing child in and spoils everyones movie!! <strong><span style="font-size:180%;color:#990000;">FUCK THOSE PPL!!</span></strong><br /><br />I guess that about sums up the last 2 weeks of the month of May - more or less.... oh attended a wedding dinner on 30th. Was "Heng Tai" also... hahaha but that will be a blog by itself.... coming soon...LiquidUlarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00397473813451545026noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6176623818272821635.post-19083204464405020322010-05-17T23:00:00.000+08:002010-05-19T12:18:44.368+08:00A Very Exhausting Week<span style="font-size:130%;color:#ff0000;"><strong>Thursday - 3am</strong></span><br />Alarm went off. Got up wearily and took a quick shower and headed to Cyberjaya Office. There was going to be a migration at 4am and a system refresh as well, So I had to be on-site considering that it was my system enhancement. Everything went well until the Production Testing portion. <em><span style="color:#009900;"><strong>Apparently the EDC terminal I took was the wrong one</strong></span></em> and therefore the only way to test the Credit Card swipping was at a petrol station. Went to the nearby Petronas and tried but then the OCBC-Titanium card was 'specially' shaped thus the pump station did not accept the card and the cashier counter was not open.<br /><br />Thus had to drive around finding a Shell station and finally found one along the highway. Did the test there and the <span style="color:#cc9933;"><strong>attendant in the station must have been freaking out </strong></span>and thinking who the hell is <strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#3333ff;">this guy at the pump station, on the phone, swipping the card so many times, not pumping a single fuel at bloody 5am!!</span></strong> LOL... anyway - <span style="color:#993399;"><strong>TEST SUCCESSFUL!!</strong></span> Headed home.<br /><br /><strong><span style="font-size:180%;color:#ff0000;">Friday</span></strong><br />Was on leave today just for kicks cos wifey was also on leave to go make passport. I cleaned the house, did my own time trial on the MEX highway in the morning. Later in the afternoon decided to go one more round on the MEX and <strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#339999;">on the way back was nearly knocked over by a bloody JOHOR number plate car overtaking in the emergency lane.. BASTARD!!</span></strong><br /><br />Later at night, had to go back to Cyberjaya to perform some investigation on the enhancement I migrated the day before.. sucks!!<br /><br /><strong><span style="font-size:180%;color:#ff0000;">Saturday - 6:4am</span></strong><br />Woke up with a shock. Looked at the clock and cursed!! I was supposed to be at Helmi's place at 7am. FUCK!! Always happens to me on Golfing days. Took a super quick shower and headed off. Met up with Helmi at the Rawang R&R and then headed off to <span style="color:#009900;"><strong>Bukit Beruntung Golf Club.</strong></span> Bloody far away. It was 60km from Puchong!! Anyway reached there at 8am and he had invited along Gan from HR and Joe from Maybank. <strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#006600;">I was FUCKED!!</span></strong> They were seasoned golfers and I was a week whacker<span style="color:#993399;"><strong>... super STRESS!!</strong></span><br /><br />On the 1st tee off mound, suddenly they were talking about "how is the game going to be" "Team or individual" and I knew they were talking about betting... <strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#cc9933;">My face went totally blanked and panicked!!</span></strong> Thank God Helmi saw my expression and decided to the rest that it was going to be a "friendly" game today. Golf was HOT that day.. literally SUN BLAZING HOT!! I was so not in the mood and played pretty badly... didn't lose balls to Water Hazzards instead, lost it in the rough and fairway like some small hantu was eating up my balls before I got there!! On top of that, I had 3 <span style="font-size:180%;color:#ff0000;"><strong>"KERENGGA ATTACKS!!!" FUCK!!!!</strong></span><br /><br />Finally finished at 1:30pm and after lunch, rushed back to bathe and pick up the family to meet my parents at The Curve to celebrate Mother's Day. At the end of the day I was so freaking tired and <span style="color:#333399;"><strong>passed out at 10pm</strong></span><br /><br /><strong><span style="font-size:180%;color:#ff0000;">Sunday - 8am</span></strong><br />Was supposed to do time trial with Team RFC at MEX highway and Kesas but didn't manage to wake up. As I looked outside it was SUPER INFERNO HOT!! Phew.. Luckily I didn't go. Or else I would have been roasted alive!!<br /><br /><strong><span style="color:#336666;">One Heck of a tiring week and can't wait to look forward to some laid back week next.</span></strong>LiquidUlarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00397473813451545026noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6176623818272821635.post-13160637099271283652010-05-13T22:51:00.006+08:002010-05-14T00:02:02.053+08:00Farewell Team RFC, Welcome Team RRFCAs the above title suggest, I am saying <strong>farewell</strong> to "<span style="color:#ff6600;"><strong>Team Ride For the Children</strong></span>" because the Team no longer just "Rides". <span style="font-size:130%;color:#3333ff;"><strong>We now RUN as well</strong></span>. So welcome "<strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">Team Ride & Run For the Children</span></strong>". But I seriously doubt we will be riding and running down to Singapore for next year's KL-2-SG ride.<br /><br />On 14th November 2010, there will be an event in Sitiawan, Perak - Malakoff Powerman 2010, which the team has decided to participate in.<br />There will be 2 categories :<br /><br />1) 11km run-64km cycle-11km run<br />2) 5.5km run-34km cycle-5.5km run<br /><br />Naturally we will be <strong><span style="color:#cc33cc;">joining</span> <span style="color:#cc33cc;">the 2nd category</span></strong> except for Lee Weng Khong who will be going for the main category. Therefore in order to train for this event, the RFCs will start adding running into the weekly training as well. The 1st running training was on Tuesday 11th May 2010 at Lake Gardens 6:40pm.<br /><br />Since I left my old Power running shoe in Pasir Ris Bungalow-Singapore, over the weekend, went to 1Utama for shopping. <strong><span style="color:#33cc00;">The New Balance shop was having a sale - "Trade in your old shoe to get rebate up to RM100"</span></strong>. Bought a running shoe with high-arch and it was white and orange in color. Matching for my bike as well... hahaha...<br /><p align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfKA3WOGh6v0YAgNPgH4VF65NsOe9odE9HJ0Y-8Ec2VKRhc4OenmdD_mfmjRSQbqoFBmskdcFW1Y5L3IaaPFKbawqsWt4hInLG3_9Md9da19N6qdRl8BfrQdQxXqNTYciuVKOvu3hmizv5/s1600/P5093480.JPG"><img style="WIDTH: 320px; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5470785321937718066" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfKA3WOGh6v0YAgNPgH4VF65NsOe9odE9HJ0Y-8Ec2VKRhc4OenmdD_mfmjRSQbqoFBmskdcFW1Y5L3IaaPFKbawqsWt4hInLG3_9Md9da19N6qdRl8BfrQdQxXqNTYciuVKOvu3hmizv5/s320/P5093480.JPG" /></a></p><div>On Tuesday, after work changed to my running attire in the office - sleeveles dry fit with <span style="font-size:130%;"><strong><span style="color:#cc6600;">all tattoos blazing</span></strong>.</span> While walking out of the office, didn't notice that my <strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">HOD was still in the office</span></strong> and was looking at me. YIKES!! Anyway the walk to the Lake Garden was quite a distance actually. What Ian and I wasn't prepared for was the entire KL Main branch also running along... wish we had brought PowerGel along hahaha...<br /><br />1 loop around the lake was 2.4km and we were supposed to do 2 loops but cos it was late already, our trainer Mr Khoo Chin Aik said we will do 1 round only. <strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#00cccc;">Thank GOD for that!!</span></strong> On the 1st half loop I already couldn't keep up with the rest. Thighs were aching and couldn't breathe properly. Possibly due to the <strong><span style="color:#ff6600;">smoking earlier on instigated by Austin!!</span></strong> So started alternating between walking and jogging... finally managed to finish the loop in 20+ minutes. The rest of the guys did it in around 15 to 17minutes. <span style="font-size:130%;color:#999900;"><strong>Our OCBC CEO did 1 loop in 11minutes...</strong></span> WALAU EH!!<br /><br />Running was more difficult than I had imagine. I'd rather cycle MEX highway 10times rather than run!! LOL!! Unfortunately it seems that running will be a permanent part of the RFCs schedule from now on. From Cycling to Duathlon (<em><span style="font-size:85%;">I think its called that</span></em>).., the plan was to add in swimming next year and we can all be tri-athletes!!</div>LiquidUlarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00397473813451545026noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6176623818272821635.post-20107272267853328912010-05-10T23:11:00.009+08:002010-05-11T01:02:49.586+08:00Weekend Dragon Slaying!Saturday morning. Once again no sleeping in. Today's mission - <span style="font-size:130%;color:#ff0000;"><strong>Slay the Dragon at Batu Arang!</strong></span> I was a bit late, when I reached there, Wan Giant (my paintball buddy) had already introduced himself to the group. Today's Dragon Slayers consists of Terence 'LiquidUlar', Helmi 'Lampre', Kuota KAaron, Paul 'Rabbit', Lionel Colnago, Wan 'Giant' and Kuota KAri who was late. Tpday was also the day to <span style="color:#3333ff;"><strong>officiate my new Ultegra 6700 11-28 Cogset</strong></span> and the <span style="color:#cc6600;"><strong>Euskaltel Euskadi Team jersey set. </strong></span><span style="color:#000000;">Kah Lyn was also around to see us off. We hit the 1st climb towards Batu Arang. Not as bad as the last time I was here. Maybe my engine is better or maybe its cos this time I am on a Roadbike. Anyway after a small climb it was downhill towards the base of the dragon. There were quite a few MTB groups this morning and for the 1st time I noticed that there were quite a number of offroad trails... We waited at the base of the Dragon until all arrived and off we went...<br /><br />Paul "The Rabbit" led the way followed closely by Helmi. <span style="color:#3333ff;"><strong>With the 28 cassette it was so much easier going up the climb.</strong></span> Even managed to overtake Aaron on 1 of the climbs. I am so happy I bought them. Money well spent!! As I got up the 2nd climb and looked ahead.. Paul was already on the 3rd climb damn far away... Oh Man... They were the <span style="color:#cc9933;"><strong>Euskaltel Euskadi 2010 team jersey kit</strong></span>. On the day the purchased was confirmed and ready to be shipped, the <span style="font-size:130%;color:#993399;"><strong>stupid volcano in Iceland erupted</strong></span> and caused all major airports to be closed. And thus my stuff was stuck in transit!!<br /><br />3 weeks later, I emailed wiggle and gotten a response from them within 12 hours stating that the shipment would be delivered ASAP. Last Saturday, my wife got an sms from her brother. <span style="font-size:130%;color:#ff0000;"><strong>THE SHIPMENT HAD ARRIVED!!</strong></span> And on top of that, his friend's mum who was there to visit was coming <span style="color:#3333ff;"><strong>back on Sunday!!</strong></span> And further more, she <span style="color:#009900;"><strong>stayed in Bukit Jalil!!</strong></span> WOOOHOOOO!!<br /><br />The only thing that worried me was, how the sms sounded. Cos my <span style="color:#00cccc;"><strong>brother in law is quite a scary fella sometimes</strong></span> and nothing seems to scare him. But in the sms, it sounded like he was worried a bit about this person (aunty fong).. asking us to be nice to her and stuff... so it <span style="color:#00cccc;"><strong>got me worried as well</strong></span>... would my stuff be ok?<br /><br />Well we decided not to call her so early since she just got back and so only called her on Monday. She said it was ok to collect after 4pm. I was so excited but... fate was not on my side. It was super jam on the way back and there was no way to collect the stuff without being late to pick up Ryan.. and so... decided to pick it up the next morning on the way to work.<br /><br />Her housing area was opposite Bukit Jalil Stadium and it was a Bungalow lots. It was actually part of the Bukit Jalil golf club. The place was awesome... houses were huge and beautiful. Finally pulled up to her house and woohoooooo!! <span style="font-size:130%;color:#cc9933;"><strong>EUSKALTEL BABY!!</strong></span> The quality of the stuff was totally different from what we have here... it was all <span style="font-size:180%;color:#000099;"><strong>MADE IN ITALY!!</strong></span><br />In the office after lunch, went to the gents and tried it on the shower room... <span style="font-size:180%;color:#cc0000;"><strong>PERFECT FIT!! WAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! SWEET!!</strong></span> Can't wait to wear it this Saturday for the Dragon Hill Training!!<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdTJrC2LUERaJl2-vfljq52uQncpYcan1pqP_f05UErA73Z_6kqgsV5moj9O88DlMm3Y7P8FJ2DIrK2RW8evSy3OfjJdv4EYpldkjjJ6msdzUhLNeTs1Kq66zdaiIUUuiFEjuS5oUavLfD/s1600/P5073468.JPG"><img style="WIDTH: 167px; HEIGHT: 223px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5468505458056154130" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdTJrC2LUERaJl2-vfljq52uQncpYcan1pqP_f05UErA73Z_6kqgsV5moj9O88DlMm3Y7P8FJ2DIrK2RW8evSy3OfjJdv4EYpldkjjJ6msdzUhLNeTs1Kq66zdaiIUUuiFEjuS5oUavLfD/s200/P5073468.JPG" /></a> <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRmPrTyHdanoecdw_pwUrjrmyFdaz9AVI2I9O7a_pqLpqx295D9o_C5NBSDVcybvwuwF-MDJuzgbFm6_IqROyjfhGLQpxs5Qw-CTdK69e8HgcaLjeO_4vsm5nRnHPqpjZWwMi3iaBlkP9W/s1600/P5073465.JPG"><img style="WIDTH: 217px; HEIGHT: 169px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5468505448153272322" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRmPrTyHdanoecdw_pwUrjrmyFdaz9AVI2I9O7a_pqLpqx295D9o_C5NBSDVcybvwuwF-MDJuzgbFm6_IqROyjfhGLQpxs5Qw-CTdK69e8HgcaLjeO_4vsm5nRnHPqpjZWwMi3iaBlkP9W/s200/P5073465.JPG" /></a><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhteWsFrrPpF0zOmL8couiXgrDGXFGuOYh-LLK7W9bRxRIjx_y35ak-csYzo7HEvrFCaMeUOsvhLd6xBcTot_2Rw9hOokatMsPZj0aeJGuWwlWZoTxCL4q5mqS2Ug9neoBEO4aGqd0w1-e-/s1600/P5073467.JPG"><img style="WIDTH: 164px; HEIGHT: 221px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5468505446416042242" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhteWsFrrPpF0zOmL8couiXgrDGXFGuOYh-LLK7W9bRxRIjx_y35ak-csYzo7HEvrFCaMeUOsvhLd6xBcTot_2Rw9hOokatMsPZj0aeJGuWwlWZoTxCL4q5mqS2Ug9neoBEO4aGqd0w1-e-/s200/P5073467.JPG" /></a> <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEios_GgESyXyC3_paVbEd7OJbBQntDwhf6QAw8Y92DOVwX419UTR9WuE-Gu8H3a6m0laMlPJ9WYWheLkJ0mD5hxQp_NGgTa4nJv0S-W9H3EOravS2FKfmoCCQoPjOX5lvFSS4YRZ3CK_MY8/s1600/P5073466.JPG"><img style="WIDTH: 174px; HEIGHT: 222px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5468505437520118114" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEios_GgESyXyC3_paVbEd7OJbBQntDwhf6QAw8Y92DOVwX419UTR9WuE-Gu8H3a6m0laMlPJ9WYWheLkJ0mD5hxQp_NGgTa4nJv0S-W9H3EOravS2FKfmoCCQoPjOX5lvFSS4YRZ3CK_MY8/s200/P5073466.JPG" /></a></div>LiquidUlarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00397473813451545026noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6176623818272821635.post-79911977320759997892010-05-06T20:52:00.003+08:002010-05-06T21:12:23.213+08:00A Hurtful Week<span style="color:#cc0000;"><strong>This week is not a good week.</strong></span> Its only Thursday and I am so <span style="color:#cc0000;"><strong>hating it already. </strong></span><br /><br />After more than a week of no cycling, I decided to cycle on Tuesday nite with the Tat Seng gang. The RFCs were not free so I was alone. The ride started out fine... was drafting behind a few MTBs who were drafting behing Kevin Ng... all were doing 30++kmh... On the ride towards Summit it was easy peasy... but after the U-turn, <span style="color:#3333ff;">suddenly my right knee tendon started to hurt.</span> <span style="font-size:130%;color:#993399;"><strong>OH SHIT!!</strong></span> Instead of pushing down on the pedal I started to pull on the pedal but the pain was still there... managed to finish the whole ride but my avg speed dropped to 28kmh.<br /><br />After cooling down back at the LRT station, I headed home and as I stepped out of the car, my <span style="font-size:130%;color:#ff6600;"><strong>right knee gave way again...</strong></span> the pain was sharp!! It was my tendon for sure... sigh!! Went into the house and put on the ice pack and rubbed the anti-inflamatory cream onto the knee. The <span style="color:#999900;"><strong>next day the pain was still there</strong></span>.. FUCK... looks like I have to opt out of this Friday's night ride in Putrajaya... and I was so looking forward to it!!<br /><br />Thursday morning, woke up feeling a bit sore on the lower back right side... thought it was nothing... dropped off Ryan at the baby sitter's house and proceeded to fetch darling to the LRT station... on the way, suddenly any small movement - even a deep breathe -<strong><span style="font-size:130%;"> <span style="color:#cc6600;">and my lower back was screaming!!</span></span></strong> This was the same pain I had a few weeks back.. oh DAMN!! After dropping darling at the LRT I headed to the Clinic in Bandar Puteri but couldn't get out of the car. Was <span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>waiting in the car for about 10mins</strong></span> before I managed to pull myself out... in the clinic I didn't sit down as I was more comfortable standing up and then the doc asked me to lie down so that he could administer the injection. It took me quite a while to get onto the bed and after the jab, I just let my body weight slide me off the bed... LOL<br /><br />Went back home and <span style="color:#006600;"><strong>took the prescribed painkillers and KO on the bed</strong></span>... couldn't move as the pain was still unbearable... only after waking up at 2pm was the pain gone but felt sore all over and numb... Sigh... <span style="font-size:130%;color:#663366;"><strong>What a Fucked Up week!!</strong></span>LiquidUlarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00397473813451545026noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6176623818272821635.post-25212259814834728892010-05-01T17:53:00.005+08:002010-05-01T18:21:55.575+08:00Thusday - MonterezIt seems that my day offs, whether it is a weekend, public holiday or on Annual-Leave... I wake up at about 5:30-6:00am. <strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#999999;">Ironic isn't?</span></strong> On weekdays I wish I could sleep longer, but on off days - BANG - 6:00am rise and shine... LOL<br /><br />Thursday was no different. Was on Annual Leave... to play Golf... yes you heard me right... took <span style="font-size:130%;color:#006600;"><strong>Annual Leave to play Golf.</strong></span> The main reason is cos Munawir can't play on Weekend and as for me, it's just <span style="color:#cc9933;"><strong>too expensive and crowded to play on weekends.</strong></span><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh615X2I7tqZPqBHmUtSFbcFzOJdp1sOPeJO3NDhHkW2mx4ntTjqaTBtf62HMSFPAKLngklhkgU1PDcqSHlelD-yb4RprcYRXEOtYDMF8s3K8ed6bZvNNzHEs8DB1RISQT78P98M02lzod7/s1600/monterezlay.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 200px; HEIGHT: 148px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5466243210237392226" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh615X2I7tqZPqBHmUtSFbcFzOJdp1sOPeJO3NDhHkW2mx4ntTjqaTBtf62HMSFPAKLngklhkgU1PDcqSHlelD-yb4RprcYRXEOtYDMF8s3K8ed6bZvNNzHEs8DB1RISQT78P98M02lzod7/s200/monterezlay.jpg" /></a><br />Picked up Mun at 6:30am and headed out to Monterez. Monterez is located in Shah Alam. It has <strong><span style="color:#333399;">night golf too.</span></strong> Will definately try that one day. As we got there, there were already a few fellas unloading their golf bags... and it was just 7am. After unloading ours and paying the green fee (<em><span style="color:#999900;">RM80 per person - inclusive of Buggy, 1 bottle of mineral water and insurance</span></em>) we had a light breakfast at the cafeteria. We then decided to start our game immediately so as not to meet up with the other golfers (<span style="color:#6633ff;">who were probably better and would give pressure onto our game</span>).<br /><br />At the check point into the course on the way to the 1st hole, we had to pass the payment slip to the person in charge and was told to "<span style="font-size:180%;color:#ff0000;"><strong>PLEASE TUCK IN YOUR T-SHIRTS</strong></span>"... Aiks!! I had only <strong><span style="color:#cc33cc;">brought 8 balls</span></strong> with me and was asking each worker I see whether they sold any golf balls or not - NO LUCK... so I made do with the 8 balls I had. At the 1st 3 holes, a marshall on a buggy followed us just to make sure that we knew what we were doing before leaving us along to hack the course.<br /><br />The course was nice. 2 par 5s, a few par 3s and the rest were par 4s. The HUGE bungalows beside the course were damn awesome!! Makes me wish I stayed there. In the <span style="font-size:180%;color:#990000;"><strong>1st 9 holes, I lost all 8 of the balls</strong></span> to Water Hazzard.. sigh... borrowed some balls from Munawir and managed to make it through the remaining 9. Most of the Par 4s and Par 5s were 'dog legs' - so you couldn't see the flag at all. And today was the 1st time I used my Driver on a course... surprisingly did quite ok.<br /><br />All in all, it was a damn nice day cos the weather was nice.. cloudy and not too hot. Nearly gotten a few pars but missed it by an inch... but <span style="color:#663300;"><strong>still played way better than I did before</strong></span>. We finished 18 holes in just above 4 hours.. and what perfect time too... as we parked our buggy back and headed for lunch at the cafeteria, it rained cats and dogs... the siren went off signaling that the course was to be closed... and so we could see many other golfers rushing back to the club house.<br /><br />After lunch - it was back home for some <strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#cc6600;">well deserved rest..</span></strong>LiquidUlarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00397473813451545026noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6176623818272821635.post-20481724035936666262010-04-25T22:11:00.001+08:002010-04-26T23:13:18.131+08:00A Wet Golfing Affair @ Pulau Carey<div align="left">Regretted staying up late the night before. Went for <strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">Snow Beer</span></strong> and then snooker with Allan, Ian and PJ. Slept at 3am. Now looking at the clock it was <strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">6:30am and I was still in bed</span></strong> when I should be at the Proton Showroom along Kesas Highway. <span style="font-size:130%;color:#3333ff;"><strong>DANG!!<br /></strong></span><br />Today was supposed to be a <span style="color:#33cc00;"><strong>golfing day with my Team Lead</strong></span> - Bobby and another colleague Kevin. Sigh.. Bobby is gonna kill me. I sms him saying that I just woke up and will not be able to make it. Just as the sms was sent, I decided to call him. Apparantly he just reached and I thought to myself... "<em><span style="color:#6600cc;">Hey I might just be able to make it</span></em>" and so I took a quick shower and was out of the house in minutes... reached the meeting point 15mins later... and then we were off!!<br /><br /></div><p align="left"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSTbM3dtIKTcrP8DtfIHx4DnGP6G4Ww-u_Rn1dgOBtwRNVDei4eRbgdA03WJW_2iiTrIR8fsoddeEmGPYVxbLGwRffSAWKDDJVtyKFmpMFHTxt8w-FzGCaSPvtfvCZrQ3RxeM1PHzSXAR5/s1600/IMG00439-20100424-0735.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 433px; HEIGHT: 293px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5464457866485143010" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSTbM3dtIKTcrP8DtfIHx4DnGP6G4Ww-u_Rn1dgOBtwRNVDei4eRbgdA03WJW_2iiTrIR8fsoddeEmGPYVxbLGwRffSAWKDDJVtyKFmpMFHTxt8w-FzGCaSPvtfvCZrQ3RxeM1PHzSXAR5/s200/IMG00439-20100424-0735.jpg" /></a></p><div align="left"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhY3CuumdCM-TJ5zY77ty6ppOrnlXvlKO1WkSGudig1Sam4b_FQHrOWlVXXeAlxnvUpkRbhEr5Z4D2_NLG4QX0lnN9TGVafWLsG8Nzu0aTaIovwGhMsPdW7X9ChxwShGeJ7staTgYgfh6g-/s1600/IMG00440-20100424-0735.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 433px; HEIGHT: 293px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5464457864946657906" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhY3CuumdCM-TJ5zY77ty6ppOrnlXvlKO1WkSGudig1Sam4b_FQHrOWlVXXeAlxnvUpkRbhEr5Z4D2_NLG4QX0lnN9TGVafWLsG8Nzu0aTaIovwGhMsPdW7X9ChxwShGeJ7staTgYgfh6g-/s200/IMG00440-20100424-0735.jpg" /></a></div><div align="left"><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmVXx4gwnJtbKzBCJFuN9sQ0mhe-Dnv7i0uGW-CRAQWzyZhGAzVl7MMj3-6su66M5ZEdmA6K8yTcAmWyjm_cMUtMU8mFdHkc_pRp32liLXZsq3LgvdN-FNi_Xfn7Zxcyy8fEq1jXC-Q-n5/s1600/IMG00441-20100424-0743.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 433px; HEIGHT: 293px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5464457562328531874" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmVXx4gwnJtbKzBCJFuN9sQ0mhe-Dnv7i0uGW-CRAQWzyZhGAzVl7MMj3-6su66M5ZEdmA6K8yTcAmWyjm_cMUtMU8mFdHkc_pRp32liLXZsq3LgvdN-FNi_Xfn7Zxcyy8fEq1jXC-Q-n5/s200/IMG00441-20100424-0743.jpg" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7OsuD9BjrALHpZlNFOigrzazLd27nGR5fcG1-53g1_uCejzLQBkSW8vhZtE-wlJAclvzxxH3i43Lvo6prVJOFNypeXqDzYuDwFk7sOg_Ti4HHEtaEeu-_mf5otNIDod2wt6BFW41lG8h-/s1600/IMG00442-20100424-0743.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 433px; HEIGHT: 293px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5464457554625290082" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7OsuD9BjrALHpZlNFOigrzazLd27nGR5fcG1-53g1_uCejzLQBkSW8vhZtE-wlJAclvzxxH3i43Lvo6prVJOFNypeXqDzYuDwFk7sOg_Ti4HHEtaEeu-_mf5otNIDod2wt6BFW41lG8h-/s200/IMG00442-20100424-0743.jpg" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhq1H_tTEyqrIg4c_Y3dd9FMzSGxTA_xQ594AoFPDm517jpKWHmkbo4ja7ai_NSy0BDG_RlQea0w56gRmL3cGwpF_8dbkhzcClsLaEvNlcciFtWPcnA2aCvJuAoBr7UFIVEXps-IaODi9Ar/s1600/IMG00443-20100424-0743.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 433px; HEIGHT: 293px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5464457545521475730" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhq1H_tTEyqrIg4c_Y3dd9FMzSGxTA_xQ594AoFPDm517jpKWHmkbo4ja7ai_NSy0BDG_RlQea0w56gRmL3cGwpF_8dbkhzcClsLaEvNlcciFtWPcnA2aCvJuAoBr7UFIVEXps-IaODi9Ar/s200/IMG00443-20100424-0743.jpg" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVAklo9BErw0cXcHgK4yyQY_RVkKqNmFSGy_UV5TPi0LH9EMmnODAC73LzEsM6dn-ALkPYvVWKyqmy2AKyHF_4mhqjlfbOCSdrPJ1p7IfcCgLa3AjHwcIpbxhesEI5DAmKMHznl14B12Hi/s1600/IMG00444-20100424-0747.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 433px; HEIGHT: 293px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5464457540261065266" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVAklo9BErw0cXcHgK4yyQY_RVkKqNmFSGy_UV5TPi0LH9EMmnODAC73LzEsM6dn-ALkPYvVWKyqmy2AKyHF_4mhqjlfbOCSdrPJ1p7IfcCgLa3AjHwcIpbxhesEI5DAmKMHznl14B12Hi/s200/IMG00444-20100424-0747.jpg" /></a><br />The <strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#339999;">journey to Pulau Carey was long.</span></strong> It was on the way to Banting. There was no signboard for the Golf Club nor Pulau Carey as a matter of fact. All there was, was a road sign 'Jalan Pulau Carey' and we turned in. We were greeted by a <span style="color:#336666;"><strong>friendly police check point</strong></span> but were let thru. We were now in <span style="color:#006600;"><strong>Sime Darby Plantation</strong></span>. The drive was a pleasant one. With the morning sunshine just nice, the oil palm trees on either side, workers were busy doing their jobs, it was a very nostalgic drive... after 10km or so... we finally reached the club house. Bobby went into the club house and asked.. well it seemed that it had rained the entire night till morning but we were allowed to play.. as long as we didn't mind the water. Well since we had driven all the way out here, might as well play and I get to <span style="color:#993399;"><strong>test my Nike shoes</strong></span> cos it was <span style="color:#3333ff;"><strong>supposed to be waterproof</strong></span> and if water went in, I can claim warranty. </p><p align="left">The course was a <span style="color:#003300;"><strong>9 hole walking course</strong></span> and the green fees were RM30. I had borrowed the trolley the night before from Helmi so I didn't have to rent it. Bobby carried his half set. Kevin rented one. Then were on our way. </p><p align="left">The 1st hole was a killer. There was a flower garden in the centre and the green was across the road...<strong><span style="font-size:180%;color:#6666cc;"> 1st hole of the day... SUCKED!!</span></strong><br /><br />We didn't bother keeping score except in our on heads. Kevin was very new to golf and has not sepped into a course before. So naturally he was searching high and low for this balls that went out of bounds (OB) which dragged on the game. A few times his tee off went to the other tee off box and <span style="color:#cc9933;"><strong>scared the living daylights out of the other golfers</strong></span>. It was funny!!<br /><br />So far the shoe was doing its part of keeping my feet dry until the 4th hole and <strong><span style="color:#000099;">my feet literally was ankle deep in water.</span></strong> Well all was wet now. If it hadn't been for the water, it would have been a nice easy course. The sand trap was fairly easy and flat so was the green. The only thing was, water hazard was everywhere and sometimes it was not the flooded as we thought, it was actually a small lake with fishes swimming in it.<br /><br />In the entire game, I <span style="color:#666600;"><strong>lost 6 balls</strong></span> to water hazards, had 3 boogeys, 1 double boogey and the rest is no point mentioning. Bobby was also not having the best of days. His drive was good but his <span style="color:#003333;"><strong>short game killed it for him</strong></span>!! All in all it was an OK day... could have been better but well thats golf.<br /><br />We finished at 11:20 and we were off... ask if I would come back again? well maybe... <span style="color:#996633;"><strong>if someone else drove</strong></span>... for RM30 it was kinda worth it. </p>LiquidUlarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00397473813451545026noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6176623818272821635.post-7460261309339020112010-04-23T15:34:00.002+08:002010-04-23T15:41:29.620+08:00Earn Money Just by Clicking - Part 2Now if you are really super skeptical about this online sort of MLM thing cos it is normally from overseas... now what about something that is <span style="font-size:180%;color:#3333ff;"><strong>closer to home?<br /></strong></span><br /><span style="font-size:180%;color:#ff0000;"><strong>Malaysian Pay Per Click</strong><br /></span>At Malaysian Pay Per Click, you get paid to click on ads and visit websites.<br />The process is easy! Ian confirmed he was coming as well and before we left the office he said "<strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#009900;">If I don't smoke you tonight, I will change to a Road Bike</span></strong>"... <strong><span style="font-size:180%;color:#ff6600;">CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!!<br /></span></strong><br /><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">9:30pm</span></strong> - Reached the Sri Petaling LRT just in time as the gang road off. Ian pushed from the start and was way ahead. I was last as usual, taking my time as I road into the bike lane and then <strong><span style="font-size:180%;color:#6600cc;">*CRASH*</span></strong>... someone just ahead of me had crashed! It was Thomas... I stopped to ask the famous question <strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#00cccc;">"ARE YOU OK?"...</span></strong><br /><br />He had some cut and bruises on his right side but his bike was in worst condition. The shifters were out of alignment. The brakes were not working. The alignment between the handle bar and wheel was out. <span style="color:#3333ff;">"I am going back... can't continue"</span> he said. And after telling him how to go back to the mamak, he was off and then I realised as I looked at the road ahead.. <strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#999900;">"DAMN!! I am alone again!!"<br /></span></strong><br />I pushed myself as hard as I could. Just enough so as to not aggrivate the tendon but managed to maintain a <strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#ff9900;">30++ average speed</span></strong>. <strong><span style="font-size:180%;color:#ff0000;">The suck part about riding alone in Kesas Highway at night is having to go thru the tunnels alone!!</span></strong> Nearing the last toll along Kesas, I finally came up upon 3 MTBs from the Tat Seng group and overtook them and met with the others at the Bus Stop on the opposite side of the highway.<br /><br />Now it was time for the ride back. I had barely 5mins to take my breath and we were off. Ian was leading in front. I <span style="color:#ffcc00;"><strong>drop 1 gear at a time</strong></span> and overtook Paul and then drafted behind Ian for a short while and then decided to go for it... <span style="color:#cc0000;"><strong>Picked up to 45kmh and SMOOOKED him...</strong></span> hahaha... without looking back, I pushed on as far as I could but finally about after 500m, I tired out and then 1 by 1, Paul, Yong, Danny and Adam overtook me and started to leave me further and further behind.<br /><br />Even so I pushed on... <span style="color:#009900;">constantly looking at the cyclo meter</span>... everytime it dropped below 30kmh, I would push and pull the pedal to bring it back up... and finally I reached the end of the ride. Immediately as I stopped, I took a look at the meter... <span style="font-size:180%;color:#ff0000;"><strong>AVG SPEED = 30kmh!!</strong></span> <strong><span style="font-size:180%;color:#000099;">WOHOOOO!!!!</span></strong> <span style="font-size:180%;color:#ff0000;"><strong>MY TARGET HAS BEEN ACHIEVED!!!!<br /></strong></span><br />Looking back at the 1st time I road Kesas Highway, the avg speed was barely 20kmh, then it slowly picked up with each training.. 22, 24, 27 and now finally 30!!<br /><br />Ian reached a few minutes later and I would not let him forget what he said to me early in the evening.. <strong>now lets hope he keeps to his word and gets his TREK MADONE 4.5</strong><br /><br />Later at the mamak, a stupid couple knocked Danny and Yong's bike causing it to fall slightly and had the <span style="color:#ff6600;"><strong>nerve not to say sorry</strong></span>... but said that we should have parked the bike there... Bastards!! <strong><span style="font-size:180%;color:#ff6600;">Thank god for them, it was crowded there at the mamak... if not...</span></strong>LiquidUlarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00397473813451545026noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6176623818272821635.post-57807846987737211332010-04-19T16:25:00.005+08:002010-04-19T16:46:16.137+08:00A trip down my blogging lane...As I was lying in bed, I was thinking about blogging. To me, I have always loved writing a diary. It was like a momento or a proof of my self being. I used to be a very angry and emotional person and a lot of my diary entries were written in <span style="font-size:130%;color:#ff0000;"><strong>BLOOD!</strong></span> or had its <span style="color:#ff6600;"><strong>pages slashed</strong></span> and stuff... LOL!!<br /><br />Then somewhere in 2005, I discovered the world of blogging. It was cos I had <span style="color:#000099;"><strong>an interest in this girl</strong></span> and she had a blog so I <span style="color:#33cc00;">followed her blog weekly</span> and before long, I fell in love with the idea of blogging and so my 1st blog was born :<br /><br /><a href="http://www.xanga.com/tgterence"><span style="font-size:130%;"><strong>www.xanga.com/tgterence</strong></span></a><br /><br />It was my 1st stab at blogging and well it has most of my personal stuff in there. Mainly how I met my wife. Visiting back the blog <span style="color:#00cccc;">brought back tons of memories.</span> Some were good, some were bad... but hell thats all what life is about anyway. I stopped updating this blog when I moved to Puchong cos I had no internet connection here and also <span style="color:#993300;">OCBC had blocked the access to this site.</span><br /><br />Next I ventured on to Paintballing and that was my lifestyle, my religion. Thats was also the same time when I found out about <span style="color:#ffcc00;"><strong>free web hosting</strong></span> and so took a jab at it. I didn't want a conventional blog anymore so I <span style="color:#3366ff;">created my own site</span> :<br /><br /><a href="http://www.liquidular.webs.com/"><strong><span style="font-size:130%;">http://www.liquidular.webs.com/</span></strong></a><br /><br />This site was mainly for Paintball stuff and it held my new blog as well. It was fun to do... but after a while, cos it was a free hosting, people <span style="color:#c0c0c0;"><strong>started complaining that the site was slow</strong></span> on loading and it was a pain to upload new posting, that I decided to quit it.<br /><br />And so I am here now, blogging on blogspot.com. And from what I can see, <a href="http://www.liquidular-cycling.blogspot.com/"><span style="font-size:130%;"><strong>http://www.liquidular-cycling.blogspot.com/</strong></span></a> <span style="font-size:180%;color:#ff9900;"><strong>is here to stay!!</strong></span>LiquidUlarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00397473813451545026noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6176623818272821635.post-84088350055713556612010-04-18T16:03:00.004+08:002010-04-18T16:20:15.327+08:00GROUNDED FOR 2 WEEKS!!It all started during the Fraser's Hill trip. During the downhill portion on the way back, the outside of my right knee started to hurt. The <span style="color:#ffcc00;">slight pain and discomfort lasted for 2 days</span>, so I <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">shrugged</span> it off thinking it was just cos the muscle was tired.<br /><br />1 week later, during the night ride on MEX & Kesas Highway, the pain came back. It was more painful now but still bearable and managed to complete the ride and somehow keep up a bit with the rest of the guys. After getting home, the pain was sharper and stronger. <span style="color:#ffcc66;">Couldn't walk properly for 2 days</span> but after seeing the local GP and being prescribe Glucosamine, the pain went away. So once again I thought it was all good until....<br /><br />Saturday - Yesterday... the <span style="color:#66ff99;">Gombak-Ulu Yam-Batang Kali-Gotong Jaya-Gombak ride</span>... after 2 big climbs at the start of Ulu Yam dam and the Batang Kali stretch, <span style="color:#009900;">my knee gave way.</span> The pain was super unbearable! Even after a short rest at the 'warong', I couldn't kick start without wincing in pain! <span style="font-size:180%;color:#cc6600;"><strong>*FUCK!!*</strong></span> So I loaded up the bike on to the support car and sat in it the rest of the journey.<br /><br />After the whole ride had ended, I went to see the Sports Injury Clinic in Subang Jaya SS15. They were closing but I managed to get an appointment for this morning 9am.<br /><br />9am - day of reckoning... went for my appointment at the clinic and after the doc examined the knee, did some X-ray and Ultrasound... it was my tendon!! It was <strong>inflamed </strong>and had a <strong>minor tear</strong> (Grade 1 Tear). I was to be off cycling or putting pressure on my knee for the next 2 weeks... Basically I was <span style="font-size:180%;color:#cc0000;"><strong>GROUNDED!!</strong></span> <span style="color:#6600cc;"><strong>BUMMER!!</strong></span><br /><br />...and next week is the Hulu Langgat trip that I was looking forward for... SIGH!!!LiquidUlarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00397473813451545026noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6176623818272821635.post-27121485719622297352010-04-17T22:21:00.007+08:002010-04-22T23:39:01.016+08:00Ulu Yam - Batang Kali - Gotong Jaya RideI am late!! As I stared at the clock. It was 4:30am. <span style="color:#009900;">Thank God I stayed over at Taman Melawati.</span> Rushed to eat my Meat Ball Pasta and was out of the house at 5:15am. Reached the meeting point - Petronas @ Batu Caves - at 5:30am. Adam, Yong, Apple, Kah Lyn, Aaron, Patrick and Fren were already there. The only one missing was Ari and Jo-Ann. If she wasn't coming, I wasn't riding as <span style="color:#00cccc;"><strong>I was still a bit sick</strong></span> and needed the assurance of a support car. Allan had food poisoning and Helmi's daughter was sick so they couldn't make it.<br /><a href="http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs471.ash1/25865_387614942450_805072450_3767531_5440722_n.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 453px; HEIGHT: 328px; CURSOR: hand" border="0" alt="" src="http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs471.ash1/25865_387614942450_805072450_3767531_5440722_n.jpg" /></a><br />At last, Ari & Jo-Ann reached and we parked our car at a nearby mamak stall and we were off! It was just 6am. It was <strong><span style="font-size:130%;">totally pitch black dark</span></strong> as we made out way to Sungai Tua / Batu Dam. Just as we turned into the road to Batu Dam, what greeted us was <span style="font-size:180%;color:#cc0000;"><strong>a huge climb!! Super Steep!!</strong></span> And in the darkness we pushed and pushed all the way. It was damn tiring. Already on the lightest gear setting, I tried to free wheel a bit but just as I <span style="font-size:130%;color:#ffcc00;"><strong>stopped pedaling, the wheel stopped</strong></span> too!! <span style="font-size:130%;color:#3333ff;"><strong>HOLY SHIT!! </strong></span>It was push all the way!!<br /><br />For what seemed like forever, finally reached the peak and it was downhill for now. Adam stopped by the side of the road giving directions to go on ahead. Apple and Ari were still climbing. The rest had already sped far away so I was (<em><span style="color:#ff0000;">as always</span></em>) alone - in the darkness - again! The downhill was fun and scary at the same time cos there were no more cars and the only sounds that can be heard were of birds and animals and just then <strong><span style="font-size:180%;color:#cc9933;">*WHOA!!*</span></strong> <strong><span style="font-size:180%;color:#ff6666;">*SWERVE!!*</span></strong> there was this crazy homeless dude by the side of the road and I nearly banged into him.. <span style="font-size:180%;color:#990000;"><strong>BASTARD!!</strong></span><br /><a href="http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs471.snc3/25865_387614957450_805072450_3767534_4784761_n.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 453px; HEIGHT: 328px; CURSOR: hand" border="0" alt="" src="http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs471.snc3/25865_387614957450_805072450_3767534_4784761_n.jpg" /></a><br /><a href="http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs471.ash1/25865_387614952450_805072450_3767533_7737280_n.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 453px; HEIGHT: 328px; CURSOR: hand" border="0" alt="" src="http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs471.ash1/25865_387614952450_805072450_3767533_7737280_n.jpg" /></a><br /><a href="http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs479.ash1/26257_387897870772_174843160772_4527810_2979065_n.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 453px; HEIGHT: 328px; CURSOR: hand" border="0" alt="" src="http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs479.ash1/26257_387897870772_174843160772_4527810_2979065_n.jpg" /></a><br />We finally came to our 1st stop just as the sun light started peeking thru the clouds. It was a small rest area with a small waterfall. We took a breather, drank up, ate Powerbar and went to the loo. <strong>My knee started to hurt a little</strong> at this point and rubbed some deep heat onto it. Took a few pictures and we were off once again.<br /><br />The climb was quite ok. We passed by some people parked by the side of the road collecting water from pipes that were coming out of the side of the hill... Then it was downhill again... The road was quite big and didn't have many cars... It was nice being able to go downhill without having to brake for dear life... but i still did once I hit 60kmh... the rest went up to 70++.<br /><br />Ulu Yam town. Finally we were here and everyone went to the 7-11 to stock up. The town people having breakfast there <span style="font-size:130%;color:#cc33cc;"><strong>looked at us funny</strong></span>. After stocking up, we headed to for "The Warong" which was the last stop before the major <span style="font-size:180%;color:#ff0000;"><strong>"CLIMB TO HELL"...</strong></span><br /><a href="http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs451.snc3/25865_387615067450_805072450_3767553_5694231_n.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 328px; HEIGHT: 453px; CURSOR: hand" border="0" alt="" src="http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs451.snc3/25865_387615067450_805072450_3767553_5694231_n.jpg" /></a><br /><a href="http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs451.snc3/25865_387631522450_805072450_3767680_1288659_n.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 453px; HEIGHT: 328px; CURSOR: hand" border="0" alt="" src="http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs451.snc3/25865_387631522450_805072450_3767680_1288659_n.jpg" /></a><br /><a href="http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs471.snc3/25865_387615027450_805072450_3767547_3881538_n.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 453px; HEIGHT: 328px; CURSOR: hand" border="0" alt="" src="http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs471.snc3/25865_387615027450_805072450_3767547_3881538_n.jpg" /></a><br /><br />The climb towards the warong <strong><span style="color:#cc0000;">was HELL</span></strong>!! We stopped so many times after 200m riding. We were <strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#cc9933;">begining to think that the warong didn't exsit</span></strong> and that it was just a dangled carrot to keep our mind of the major climb... after what seemed like forever, <span style="font-size:130%;color:#339999;"><strong>my knee gave way</strong></span> and sadly had to load up my bike into the support car.. 100m away, was the warong.. LOL..<br /><br />We had our fill and after a 15min rest, it was time to continue on. I unloaded my bike and Jo-Ann went on ahead 1st. Just as I kicked start, <span style="color:#009900;"><strong>a sharp pain jolted my right knee</strong></span> and I nearly fell over... I knew this was it... <span style="color:#ff6600;"><strong>I wasn't going to be able to continue</strong></span>.. FUCK!! Jo-Ann came back to get me and I road in the car the rest of the way.<br /><br />The next 8km or so was<span style="font-size:180%;color:#ff0000;"><strong> really a CLIMB TO HELL...</strong></span> I have not seen Kah Lyn nor Aaron <span style="color:#6600cc;"><strong>walk and push their bike so much</strong></span>... Ari and Apple practically <span style="color:#993399;"><strong>stopped every 100m...</strong></span> Looking from inside the car, I felt relieved but at the same time dissappointed that I was not able to <span style="color:#ffcc33;"><strong>endure the HELL with my fellow comrades</strong></span>!! It was then, these tiny little riders, a few guys and a few girls in<span style="color:#ffff00;"><strong> Selangor</strong></span> <span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>Jerseys</strong></span>, smoked each and everyone of them going up. They made it look easy and there were even some on MTB with offroad tires... JUST GIVE ME A FLAT ROAD!!"</span></strong> ... Adam & Yong <span style="color:#cc0000;"><strong>reached 45mins earlier</strong></span> and didn't even stop at all!! AMAZING!! After taking photos and resting abit, they continued on towards Gotong Jaya. We passed by the Genting Cable car and went to a nearby Mamak for lunch. The air was cool and nice and after lunch... it was <span style="color:#ccccff;"><strong>downhill mayhem all the way to Gombak</strong></span>.<br /><br />I tried to ride again but the pain was just too much to bear... so once again I hopped into the car and Apple hopped in later as well and we followed the rest of the guys downhill... they were super fast!! Adam as always was leading the way...<br /><br />We finally reached back to the mamak at Gombak around 2 to 3pm... WOOHOOO!! They had survived and <span style="font-size:130%;color:#6633ff;"><strong>I will return to settle some unfinished business</strong></span>... but for now it was off to the Sports Clinic to have a look at the knee!!LiquidUlarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00397473813451545026noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6176623818272821635.post-29826271456944067182010-04-15T20:56:00.005+08:002010-04-15T21:09:53.832+08:00FLU & FEVER!!Since Tuesday night I had been having <span style="color:#ff6600;">sore throat</span> and <span style="color:#3333ff;">slight flu</span>... so I thought that sweating it out on the night ride would cure it... unfortunately it didn't... sigh<br /><br />Wednesday the <span style="color:#cc0000;">sickness starts</span>... worked from home that day while on medication... kinda high most of the time but still managed to finish 1 program... by night time it started to feel a lot worst and <span style="font-size:180%;color:#3366ff;">couldn't cuddle my son to sleep</span>... had to look at him from a distance only while wearing a face mask... sigh<br /><br />Thursday (<em><span style="font-size:85%;">today</span></em>) morning - <span style="font-size:130%;color:#999900;"><strong>felt like shit!!</strong></span> <span style="color:#cc0000;"><strong>Fever</strong></span> and <strong><span style="color:#3333ff;">Flu</span></strong> came full blown... <span style="font-size:130%;color:#33ccff;"><strong>MC today</strong></span>... The start of the highway was a curving climb.. not too bad if you had already built up momentum. Thankfully the weather held and it was a nice ride... <span style="color:#339999;">managed to somehow catch up</span> Adam & Yong sometimes (<em>when the purposely slow down :P</em>). There were 2 parts along the highway where it was <strong>totally dark</strong>... not sure why... the 1st dark zone was a climb and the other one was during the descent. Thankfully there were cars passing along the highway so we could see whether there were any obstacles on the emergency lane. We managed to reach the Toll in 30mins or so... not bad... now.. it was the ride back...<br /><br />Just after the toll, there is a turn-off to do a U-turn and it goes down hill and after the U-turn is a climb... Adam & Yong sped down the slope and U-turn <span style="color:#990000;">so fast they were out of sight</span> in moments... as for me.. well, I tried to go as fast as I can taking the U-turn when just at the mid point, my front tire <strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#cc6600;">hit a pebble and bounced</span></strong>!! <span style="font-size:180%;color:#cc0000;"><strong>HOLY SHIT!!</strong></span> I was nearly thrown off balance but managed to somehow control the bike but had already lost all momentum and the climb sucked!!<br /><br />The way back (to me) felt a lot more difficult... and at this point my <span style="color:#00cccc;">right knee was hurting</span> already. I thought I couldn't finish cos the pain was unbearable... I took a PowerGel and continued on... pulling upwards instead of pedalling downwards... this somehow lessen the stress on the knee... by this time Adam & Yong were already about 500m or more in front of me and after 10 more minutes, there were gone... and so I pushed myself as hard as I could and finally saw Bukit Jalil Stadium... <span style="color:#996633;"><strong>I was back!!</strong></span><br /><br />I went all the way down to the Carrefour traffic lights (Adam & Yong - took a shortcut and headed straight to Sri Petaling LRT) and it was there at the traffic light that I had my 1st fall... Damnit!! <span style="color:#ffcc33;">Unclip left foot...</span> <span style="color:#ff9900;">tried to land on right foot</span>... result : <span style="color:#ff9966;">saw the ground come towards me</span> and <span style="font-size:130%;color:#cc0000;">*CRASH*...</span> nothing too serious just a few cuts and bruises... After pushing myself up with 1 hand, I pedalled on to the LRT and just as I was about to reach, I saw a bunch of cyclist had already started the ride to Kesas and seeing that Adam & Yong were not among them I went on to the LRT station.<br /><br />Just as I arrived, Adam, Yong, Danny and Paul were ready to go also... so on we went... <strong>*huff* *puff*...</strong> it was a fast ride with average speeds of 30+. I was riding in behind Adam, and as I passed the 1st bump, I <span style="color:#006600;"><strong>heard another *thud</strong></span>* behind me... I thought cannot be la... must be my imagination, and then i dropped gear and i heard <span style="color:#006600;"><strong>the sounds of another gear dropping</strong></span> just behind me.. Thats when I looked at the ground and saw a <span style="color:#990000;"><strong>shadow of a cyclist right behind me</strong></span>... <span style="font-size:180%;color:#cc0000;"><strong>HOLY SHIT WHAT THE FUCK!!</strong></span> I pedalled super fast, just then the <span style="color:#006600;">shadow overtook me</span> and turned out to be a <span style="color:#3333ff;">HUMAN cyclist</span>... Thank God!!<br /><br />This dude was fast and as he made his way up the group, the rest followed and I was left behind... With no more water, PowerGel and knee hurting it was a difficult to keep up but managed somehow to just come in behind them about 2minutes late. After a breather, we continued on... this time I was too tired to push anymore... and so went at a slower pace but at least I manged to <span style="color:#3333ff;">increase my Avg Speed</span> and didn't have to let the guys wait that long...<br /><br />A few more rounds like this and I think I might just be able to keep the pace with these guys!!</div>LiquidUlarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00397473813451545026noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6176623818272821635.post-57583037683552745492010-04-11T15:06:00.004+08:002010-04-11T15:16:42.701+08:00Something Other Than CyclingAfter helping the wifey with our son, I was out the door at 8:40am... and no I was not going for a ride... Wanted to do something diffrerent this weekend..<br /><br />I was meeting up with Mr "<span style="color:#cc33cc;">Lampre</span>" Helmi at the <span style="color:#33cc00;">Guthrie Driving Range</span> at 9am. My car air-cond was still not working but it was alright as the weather was cool... As I exited the highway onto a slip road, I saw the course on the right.. this was it.<br /><br />Parked my car and unloaded my bag.. the driving range was a double story range.. You have to go get your own balls (<span style="color:#cc9933;">golf balls</span>) unlike the Sunway Range where they bring it to you.. anyway it was no biggie.. Helmi was on the 2nd floor and I went up to join him..<br /><br />The <strong><span style="color:#ff6600;">SUN</span></strong> was blazing down on us.. there was no cover from it.. so as we hit balls after balls.. I think <strong><span style="color:#cc0000;">I lost 1 whole kg just by sweating alone</span></strong>.. finally finish all 100 balls and we hit the stalls for a drink.<br /><br />This place has a 18 hole pitch and putt course and it only cost RM20 (<em>though we did not have to pay</em>). We tried out 2 holes before abandoning it cos it was almost noon and it was just too bloody hot to continue and also the fact that it is a walking course with no buggy.. and i was lugging around my full golf set!!<br /><br />So off we went but will surely be back again with the other RFCs along!!LiquidUlarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00397473813451545026noreply@blogger.com0
